Vibration at idle on 2010 E63

I need input. I bought my new and since put over 10K on it. Yesterday, I take it to the Mercedes Dealer for the first service and once I picked it up, I now have a vibration at idle in park or at a red light. The tech tells me that is how all the AMGs are. I had him put it on the computer and eberything came out ok.

Mine never did this until yesterday. It had a smooth idle in every mode.

Any input? Do all of the W212 E63s idle a little rough? I am frustrated over this since I am being told there is nothing wrong.

I SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM!!!! My friend had the same problem recently, they pored to much oil in to your car. Go to a any shop and drain out a quart or two.. Let me know how it goes

I would also check the engine mounts, just to make sure.

I had them check the mounts and they said they were fine, I would lean towards the oil, since they did change it. And wow, was that an expensive oil change, but that's another post.

Maybe you should be a master tech. I know of this mercedes dealership ...

You can buy a MASTER TECH patch on Ebay.

They probably failed to drain the oil cooler, or simply added too much oil. If i'm not mistaken it calls for 8.8 liters or 9.3qts.

.....you would be amazed what some "techs" will do.

Interesting thread.

I just had my oil serviced @ 2000 miles and experienced the same pronounced vibration after leaving the dealership while driving home when stopped at idle. Called the dealership and scheduled service tomorrow. I will be taking a copy of this thread to show my service adviser.

Good luck. The dealership wasn't too receptive. I had to remove my own oil. I had to remove over 11/2 quarts. It idles great now. You would think for a Mercedes dealership they would be more careful.

Honestly, that is pathetic. I hope my dealership will listen. If not, it will make for a nice excuse to visit Dynocomp.

That is amazing to me they won't check the oil and this happens. It pays to know how to check your own car and fix problems like these!
