I cant believe the lease Quote I was given for a 2012 E63
My friend is shopping for a 2012 C63 but upon seeing the new E63, we sat down with a sales guy for a quote at the sovereign dealership in Brooklyn NY. $ 2,025 per month with $7500 down. 24 month lease. This according to the salesmen was as good as its going to get " for now ". I was laughing my *** off in front of him. He said there are no 2011 E63s left, cant lease one.

So what are the following numbers:
MSRP (and gas guzzler tax)
Residual percentage/Miles per year allowed (we know the term is 24)
Whats the gross cap of the car (pre cap adjustment from part of the drive off)
Whats the tier of the money factor and what money factor did the dealer use? (im sure the dealer is making rate on this deal upwards of 2 pts)
Then we can truly determine whats fair or not.

Ok since no one gave me the info- Ill do my standard customer service for the community.
I got some info:
2012 E63 24 month residual is 60% for 15k miles... top tier money factor with no dealer reserve is .00195.... lets use a heavily equipped car with an msrp of 105k.
105k times .60 is 63000 (2 year residual) - and lets say they sold it for a net cap of 105k with no cap reduction; your base depreciation would be 1750 per month. Now lets assume the dealer gives you the .00195 rate- your interest equivalent would be 328 dollars per month. Add in 7.75% taxes and your payment is 2239 per month.
This excercise has a lot of assumptions and no cap reduction but you get the idea. The E63 (2012) has a crappy 2 year residual. The CLS63 is 64% at 15k miles in comparo.

The .00195 rate is standard for top tier credit. MBCC has subvented lease rates but not on the AMG's
I have not heard of any cash rebate on AMG's currently. (CLS63 or E63)

Dredging up a zombie thread!
Vic,
Thanks for getting those numbers. Do you have any data on a longer term lease? I'm curious if the depreciation is linear into the 3rd and 4th year or if it starts to level-off a bit...
