Garage door opener, would really appreciate some help
Hey guys, i can't seem to get my garage door opener in my 2012 E to work properly. For starters, when i go to "clear" the settings with the buttons below the rear view mirror, it never flashed orange. It glows orange then glows green. Can anyone help with what this? My garage door buttons that are in the car are not working as they are said to work in the manual.
I would really appreciate some help with this issue.

All i can suggest is that I followed a youtube video and it worked exactly like the video. Type in garage door opener setting mercedes and you should get a few hits.

hold the outside two buttons down for about 20 seconds or until you see the light change in pulse. This will reset the buttons.
then pick the button of the homelink you want to program and hold your remote opener next to it (within a few inches) press both buttons and hold until you see the light pulse change frequency
This then should be good enough to open garage door unless you have a rolling code garage door opener. If you do you will have to find the learn button on the actual motor of the garage door opener and press it. You then have about 30 seconds to go to your car and press the programmed button two or three times. The presses should be short and continuous and then the button should be programmed.
Remember this is from memory and the manual is much more clear.

All my doors have rolling codes... never had a problem with the programming whether it be Benz, Porsche, Nissan, Lexus, BMW...

If your garage door opener has a small switch on it try flipping that to the other position when you go to program the Homelink buttons in your vehicle. I believe that changes the frequency that's transmitted...

Always carry registration info in your wallet and don't leave any home address in your car. Otherwise, you know what can happen when someone drives off in your car and have both the address and the garage door opener.
