A couple of fast cars.
I turned on BT Streaming in my 2010
So, was really easy (thanks to Lunarx). In command hold down the red phone button, 1, and # simultaneously to get into engineering mode (hold for about 10-15 seconds). Once in the menu do this:
Go to 7. HW Setting>7.7 HU Parameter>(3) BT Audio and turn it on. This will allow Bluetooth streaming.
You have to delete your phone from the device and the car once this is done and then re-pair. After you have re-paired you need to restart the car. Works perfect.

That's good info for me to bookmark for future use, since I don't have anything to stream at this time. I wonder what other things you can do in the engineering mode.

Please take notice though, from what I understand it only works if you have the most recent (whenever that is) command software.

This past weekend I realized the flipside and problem with my update is the possible deletion of the ability to copy mp3 straight from CDs onto the Command's hard disk.

Which menu? Did it say BT Audio in the Engineering mode? Did you delete your phone then repair and then restart the car?

You have to go to the audio drop down menu and pick BT Audio (sometimes you have to hit the audio drop down twice), but you can't have the phone paired to any other devices or the car gets confused (or the phone does).

Thanks for your help Derek. So went to my car and the bt audio magically appeared. However. I tried pairing the phone as the audio source and it connects initially then it says authorization procedure unsuccessful. I decoupled it as a phone source and tried again, same message. So it connects and pairs as a phone but not as a BT audio device. Did this happen to you?

I am using an Android phone, on that phone you have to have it set to stream both phone and media. I don't know what type of phone you are using, but if it Android you have to go to settings>wireless & networks>Bluetooth Settings. Once in BT setting you have to hold your finger on the area that says MB Bluetooth until the menu comes up and then pick options, in options make sure both Phone & Media are checked.

I'm using an iPhone. Im going to search around and see if any others are having same issue with this phone. A bit unbelievable that it was easy as pie for me to connect my phone with a 20k rental and its this much of process to connect to a 100k merc. Thanks for your help again.
