Hertz has E63 & C63

By sheer coincidence I found this Beast on display at the Orlando International Airport (MCO). I immediately switched from my ho-hum midsize. The drive home, heck the entire weekend was amazing I know I'm preaching to the choir here but the last Über sedan I owned was an E39 M5.

Apparently Hertz is upgrading the Prestige Collection big time. Initially the cars are available at MIA, FLL and PBI with more to come. I'm sure mega markets like NYC, LAX, ATL and Chicago are in the pipeline. They also added the base Panamera and rumor has it 911's, Boxters and Cayennes are coming. Obviously pricing will be appropriate to the vehicle. The C63 is about $300, E $400 depending on demand. I recommend the dammage waiver or you may be writing a big check if something goes wrong.

Cheers.

Im heading over next weekend, driving up from Fort Lauderdale. Wish it was the other way so I could have the drive with it. Wouldnt mind this to drive around in Orlando?! When you said $400? You mean per day? Per week or what?

$300 to $400 per day my friend. As you know these cars are not cheap. However, once the program reaches critical mass, you should be able to use points for a free rental. For example you need 3,000 points to rent an E350 for a weekend. I assume the E63 would be double that.

Hertz rocks! while Avis drools

Haha, i've never had a good experience with any car rental company to be honest. Always a hassle, doesnt help that im grouchy from the 9-10 hour flight

However, thanks for clearing that up mate! Much appreciated. Might have to get it for a day or two, cant afford the whole time, I'm not made of money

Anyway, you said weekend right? Hopefully weekdays might be a little cheaper. Might just get a C63 for a couple days in the week? Or, treat myself and get something in Miami for the drive up

*Edit, nevermind. Thats not gonna happen unless I win the lottery!
Cost $6751 for 2 weeks
Thats £4317. Which is about 10x the amount im paying for my SUV over there. Or just a bit less than a years lease on my E250 Cab

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
It's so nice of you to wash it by hand. I never wash a rental car. Heck, I hardly even wash my own car. If I were Hertz, I would order the car in silver for ease of cleaning. Black color is very demanding in upkeeping...one mistake and there would be swirl marks all over.

Gosh, anyone wanting to buy the car as second hand from Hertz years from now must have guts. I can't imagine how much abuse cars like this get.

By the way, what's the spec ordered by Hertz on the car? Is it fully loaded and include P30, LSD, etc (I don't see the red calipers)? How many miles are on it already?

1399 per week for the E63
1299 per week for the C63

Both out of FLL, September booking. Not terrible but if you want kicks, you should put that money towards renting an exotic

Thanks for the info bud! Though an E63 or C63 would definitely satisfy, when in England everyone drives an E220
Also, the family's coming along, so would need 5 seats and a big boot. So, unfortunately exotics a no go+they're every where in Ft. Lauderdale

ah the kiddies are coming. Well if you need a big boot then go with the E. At 1,300 bucks, what's another hundo. The trunk will be a lot bigger for all the kiddie stuff and your kids won't be kicking the back of your chair constantly as the C is a lot smaller. Totally worth it if you can swing it.

And if you haven't driven one before. Keep it in S+ mode and roll down the windows. I know its August and the heat in S. FLA is killer now, but the exhaust note is sooooo worth it!

I am one of the kiddies if i'm honest. I joined while my dad was looking at his E Cabriolet, and ended up staying! I love cars, especially AMG's!+ It's awesome here
And i'm the youngest, the others are now classed legally as adults. So, space is definitely needed.

Ahah, thanks for the advice, if I can convince the old man to get it, we'll go cruising down south beach. Looking cheap compared to the rollers and lambos etc

Only problem is, trying to convince my dad to switch from a Tahoe (or something similar) to this beast. Doesn't seem practical, and don't think he'll bite. The only positive I can think of, is that petrol is a lot cheaper in USA than UK. And we should make the most of it

And fold down the split folding rear seats if no one is sitting there to increase the sound some more...or open the pass through in the center arm rest if no one is in the center rear seat.

Do you drive with the trunk lid open as well?

Man, I would if I could. That means if the trunk doesn't get all dusty and wet, things don't get stolen, and the opened trunk lid doesn't create extra drag.
