Hello! Traded my '09 ML63 for the E. added some pix
It's a non PP car but w pano, 19's, carbon interior, etc...
Plan on getting it tuned, but need to research how it will effect warranty, is it reversible/detectable etc...
It's a balmy 10degrees in Chicago, so it has zero traction in any gear. Getting Pirelli sottozero tires installed at dealer in am!!
Hope to learn alot here. Have a modded gtr as the summer ride.

Why didn't you wait till the 2014's came out since you bought brand new? Seems stupid in my opinion to buy a 2013 right now being that the 2014 is a refresh and looks nicer inside and out.

1. I got this car 13,000 off sticker, and nearly $7,000 + below invoice
2. All my cars are awd including my GTR, I miss rwd, and intended to buy a rwd sport sedan to daily drive.
3. W such a massive discount, it's like it's already got 1 year of depreciation built in, so I'll b in good shape if I trade it in 1-2 yrs.
4. It's optioned exactly the way I wanted, and it was white which was my #1 choice when I was looking.
5. My trade in still had 7,000sh in equity, by summer/fall of '13 it was going to b even, to negative.
Still stupid choice?

Looks amazing! Nice color and wheel combo too.
UR2SLO: What you said makes total sense, but maybe he liked this body style better and/or wanted rear wheel drive. Not to mention maybe he got a killer deal.

Couple of reasons, y I personally thought it was not "stupid" 2 get this car

the current e63 is ligth yeas better looking that mutated looking front end on the update e63. it doesnt match the rest of the car at all.
the interior of the current and 2014 e63 is the same. with the exception of different color stitching.

I guess, but the discount seemed irrelevant to me since MB does that high rebate will alot of models and the discounts get significantly higher on year end AMG's. I got 10K off my ML350 during a year end sale. To me it would of been better to get a used one in the low 50's if you were going to toss it in a year or two.

Congrats! Car looks beautiful. Your reasoning for buying it makes perfect sense to me; despite living in Chicago, I too struggle with the switch to AWD. After owning a few Audis, AWD just generally ruins the driving experience. We'll see how M-B manages but I'm frankly worried. Read any review of Audis and you see: "was truly boring to drive, yet the lap times were surprisingly fast."
Was this car sitting on the dealer's lot? I just can't understand how or why they would special order a car at $7k below invoice, even for a friend .... I must be missing something....

Congrats, the white looks awesome!
Everyone has their reasons for getting what they got. The 2014 is nice....maybe interior is a little nicer but I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around the new front end!
RWD rocks.... until you put on skinnier snow tires.... then it starts to get cold.... then it snows.... then it's not so much fun! hahha!
Can't wait to see how you mod it!

Yes, same interior other than re-clustering of gauges and moving the clock to the center console in the IWC style.
Nice, nevertheless. I would like to have the same two vehicles in my garage. By the way, what year is the R35?

Idk, had something to do w "dealer holdback" that dealer usually pockets but the savings were passed on to me?
It was $101,500 sticker/ msrp. I got it for. $88,900. The invoice was 95,5. With my trade and sales tax I got the car 86k out the door. Used '12s w 10-15k miles, were going for 78k. This made more sense to me. Bottom line is I wanted a white car, with the m157. Bc I plan on tuning it.

Congrats on the purchase. White is such a classy color on the E.
Obviously you did not care much about the mid cycle update and the need for AWD as you have Godzilla. The deal they gave you was beyond great and you made the right choice.
I am being offered a similar deal on the CLS that I had ordered that is coming next month that I decided to not pick because of the AWD option and bump in hp but I am starting to second guess myself.
I think with a tune and the AWD, the new car could be a flat 3 sec to 60 and 11 to 1/4 but I am concerned about the fun factor. I did watch the c&d video and it looks like it is still drift happy since it is not a variable split.
The extra 5K they are discounting + probably about 5K extra with price bump and AWD is not chump change but on the other end, I end up with a 2014 versus a 2013. My head is spinning and it is going to be tough waiting till June to get the 2014.
Sorry to divert. Enyoy your new beast.
