Have any of you here replaced your pads and/or rotors yet?
Just a poll to the group...wondering what people's experience of the brake life have been so far. (I know it varies on your driving style, just curious)
I still have oem rotors. I don't track the car so rotors cracking aren't a big concern of mine. Girodisc has some nice rotors.

All the expendable parts are covered under warranty for 3 years out here in Korea, so I'll just have the dealer replace them with OEM pads. They hardly squeal and have no complaints for their performance so far.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Has anyone found an especially good wheel wax?
I've used OEM AMG brake pads the last 2 years. I switched to Centric who manufactures Stoptech brake kits. I've seen no significant difference between the 2 pads on the street, which is where I do most of my driving.
Here is a pic of the current state of my brake pads.....any thoughts here from you guys on how much life is left on this set of pads? I'm guess its down to 40% but not sure. Any guesses?
Thanks!
You can keep them untill the pad part (excluding backing plate) is 1/2 what it is now.
My guess is another 6-10K mi on those, depending on your driving conditions.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it's best to remove the wheel to view them from the top.
Then you can see if the inner pads are worn the same as the outer pads.

I think most people get 20K plus from a set, with normal driving.
Where, 1 track day can easily put 50% of wear on a set of pads.
5% is really low.
It would be interesting to see a pic of your pads.
You should never let them get below 15-20%.
Some people would change them at 30-50%.
It's good to get fresh pads on, before your rotors start to groove.

Your pads do need to be changed as they will start running hot now (and wear even faster), with so little material remaining.
Here is what I see for your pads:

How do your rear pads look?
Rear pads are only $132, you might consider changing them too.

I think you are supposed to change sensors also:
