I just placed my order with my dealer. I went for a black car because they said the Mauritius Blue designo color I wanted was not available. I went with the carbon fiber dash because the "S" model does not get my preferred burl walnut. I was told it would be delivered about August, but I am skeptical.
It would not surprise me if all of this was incorrect. I notice one of the members here has ordered a Mauritius Blue car, but maybe the choices are different in Saudi Arabia. All my previous E's have had the burl walnut dash. Why would they eliminate it for the S model this year? Also, My guess is that the car will get here after August.

From what I can tell it has a black burl looking wood as standard in the S (it has longer swirls than regular black burl wood if that makes sense). I actually like the new pattern of wood in the E63 over the carbon fiber.
Does the non S car come with different wood?
For those of us ordering now I believe we should get the cars in Aug. Regular E's will be shipped next month. Everything points to Aug/September delivery.

Well the new E-class cars are showing up on mbusa, and it looks like the prices from benzblogger.com are right on the money. The E63, is not listed but based on the accuracy of all the regular E-class prices, I think the ones quoted should be accurate also.

I have a palladium car right now with a grey interior. I don't want a black or beige interior and I think white on white would look a little OTT.
I'd really like something like a deep tungsten metallicthat Aston Martin offers, paired with a red interior which they offer on the CLS. For a car as special as the E63 S a plain jane interior seems kind of boring.

I'm going to ask for numbers and timelines on a designo car when I'm in. If the delivery dates for Canada are in the fall and I miss the whole summer season anyway I'll probably be fine to take delivery in the winter if I can get what I really want.

Indeed, they removed Keyless Go from the Premium 1 package according to the E63 dealer order guide, and created a Keyless Go package that isn't available until June for whatever reason. But the guide says you can order it standalone till then, so who knows what's up.
You also lose the active curve illuminating headlights that used to be in the P01 pkg.

The keyless go package 889 components keyless go and trunk closer ARE INCLUDED [NOT something you must order]STANDARD, --the hands free access,however, 871 is what catches your eye as delayed availability until 6/2013. Also, 996,cardinal red metallic is a 360.00 upgrade available in September 2013.

b&o
the b&o is an excellent system; the h&k somewhat less good- not as crisp, less taut bass, not quite the clarity, etc.. as you can deduce from my comments, the difference is not night and day and the importance of music to you should be a factor in your decision. i have the b&o and immensely enjoy it but it is very richly priced at 6500.

My dealer called this morning. He said my car is going to red, if I had any changes that needed to be made I needed to make them today. The wait is killing me but the car will be here before I know it.
