Oil Leaking
Hi Friends -

I have a 2010 E63 with roughly 32,000 miles. No issues until tonight.

When pulling into garage I noticed some oil on the garage floor.

Started engine and saw a constant flow of oil coming out of right front underside.

I plan on bringing it into the dealer as its still under warranty but wanted some idea of what could be causing it so I can direct my service advisor and for peace of mind of the potential problem.

Anyone have any thoughts? Is is a hose or seal?

Turns out to be the hose feeding into the oil cooler. Dealer fixed in a few hours under warranty. They indicated it was not a typically issue.

That's good, that sort of thing is rare in these cars, but anything is possible when it comes to mechanical stuff, the hose was probably defective from the start and eventually opened up.

I wonder how much that would cost without the warranty. Gotta always have warranty.

Regarding having a warranty
Only get a warranty if you can't afford the car.

Warranty is basically insurance. For me, the price is worth it since it helps me sleep at night.
