I see a parking assist package, but is parktronic now standard on the 2014 E63s? If so, that makes LSD, illuminated door sills and parktronic now all standard where they were options on 2013. That's close to 4k in options now standard. Not sure if the bump in MSRP is equivalent.

LSD only comes standard on the S model E63. Otherwise a $2500 option.

Yes, in my S-model build, here is the AMG surround view package:

995 995 AMG Parking Assist Package: Surround $800
P44 : Parking Package (RVC & Parktronic)
501 : Surround View Camera

It includes Parktronic, rear camera and surround cameras.

Actually the OP is right -- Parktronic is now standard. (See the DOG). But if you want the active parking or surround view camera, then you have to shell out $800 for the 995 Package.

Are you 100% sure? I asked my dealer this exact question because all I would want is rear camera and parktronic - don't need active or surround. He said I had to get surround camera package...

The one DOG that is poster over on Benz Boost (and here) has the rear view camera standard as it comes in P01Pkg (Premium 1). The parktronic portion I think is only with the 995 AMG park assist option. If you have a more detailed or up to date DOG, would love to see it.

Geez guys, just google E63 AMG dealer order guide. Even in the early obsolete versions, Parktronic is listed as standard. And it's listed as standard on the final version.

It's feasible the DOG is wrong, but that's speculation.

Based on the DOG, your dealer is clearly wrong since those are both standard on all US E63 cars. But remember, parktronic is NOT active parking. Maybe he thought you wanted active parking.

That's what all car makers do with subsequent years of a given model: Make standard more and more of the items there were optional.

I have one in my garage guys! parktronic standard, I have the rear camera but not the side cameras. the parking is different because they made some improvements to the rear camera, so its not "just" a camera. It has the guides and an image of the car on the bottom right which tells you when items are close by the front, rear and sides. it also has park tronic sensors on the sides, which none of my benz cars has ever had before.

Sounds like a lot of improvements on the 2014's. I'm not impressed with the camera on my 2012, it is a bad image and I'm almost better off using the rear view mirror and there are no guide lines or anything.

Lucky dog! The online configurator says that Active Parking is standard -- does your car have it? Just wondering if the website is mistaken.
