drove the M5 several times in the past and i love the car to be honest, its very strange hearing the exhaust come through speakers but whatever, the car is very very fast, DCT is amazing

What made me go to the E63 over the BMW was the look of the refreshed body, i hate the styling of the F10, more power/exhaust note in the AMG

Also the 4matic was the biggest scale tipper, i can drive this car all year round where i cant in the M5. Both amazing cars though!

What is it with the poor design of all of the 5 series lately? m5 is no exception to this. They need to overhaul the look of the 5 series as in its current state its an epic fail

I hate how you look at from a side profile and the front/back end is completely flat, just doesnt look right to me idk only thing that really impresses me about the inside is the big *** nav screen other than that i hate the gauges they look like they are from the 80's or something, that gear lever is silly, and the seats are okay, i prefer the AMG seats

2014 E63S AMG
2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S TACKLES GA. MOUNTAINS

This is my first MB AMG. Although my wife's car has always been a MB, I have been driving M-5's for almost 20 years. The E39 I just sold had the full Dinan S2 package including the light weight Dinan forged wheels and a stage 3 suspension. This car was very quick and the handling was fantastic with great road feel and feedback. Today I ventured an hour from my our home into the Georgia mountains for the first time with my recently acquired E63. I traveled from Dahlonega to Blairsville over to Suches and than back to Atlanta. There is little traffic on this route during the week and the twisties come at you fast. The difference between this car and my last M5 was unbelievable. In Sport Plus with the suspension set to full firm the car handled the varied of twists and turns as if it were on rails. Hard to describe but it was a lot of fun. I have covered the same route on a motorcycle dozens of times but I don't recall having that much fun. Next up is a trip to The Tail Of The Dragon in N. Carolina, 381 curves in 11 miles.
