I am looking to purchase a 2014 E63 wagon, but have been unsuccessful in locating an available car. Any leads on an available car--in particular from a dealer willing to discount some--would be very much appreciated.

wow, that is surprising, I would not be so sure that one in Atlanta is actually for sale, these wagons are special order only. If it is infact for sale I would count on any discounts on the car. I've seen many on autotrader, but they just automatically put them on there for whatever reason even though they are actually sold.

 

I just went to the RBM site, found no wagons, new, used or certified. Finding a wagon is like a finding a atom particle in a haystack, lol. That's one thing I love about owning this car it's so freaking rare.

I actually like the exhaust look better than the AMG's and I'm sure the car rides a hell of a lot better. With the over 50 grand you save you could spend under 20 grand for a nice old muscle car and use that as your go fast car and the Merc as your driver. I'm almost sorry I just didn't go this route, I have a nice 68 GTO that's fast as all heck so I almost don't need the AMG, I kinda hate to beat on the AMG, it breaks my heart.

 

Mercedes of Hunt Valley MD has one in Iridium. car has been there for about 6 weeks. They also show a Steel Gray car as a new arrival.

I agree that the cars are rare, however, since I only need one that is posing less of an issue than I had anticipated. The reluctance of some dealers to sell a vehicle out of state is more of an issue. Something about dealers being penalized if one of their cars gets exported--at least that is the storyline being passed to me.

I was under the impression that Mercedes only allows dealers to special order E63 wagons for customers, but isnt allowed to order one for inventory.

If thats the case, you probably see occasional cars that customers bailed on after making the order.

 

Did you call and ask if they had it, they might not list a lot of new cars on site. We buy our parts from them and the parts guy just told me yesterday. He said it's been there a few weeks.

 

If wagons are actually sitting in dealer lots for weeks it's sad since I'm waiting since jan 2013 for mine! If you can find one go for it as the wait to get one built to your specs is quite long!

 

Thanks for all of the replies. I was able to find an available E63 wagon in matte gray...just have to wait for the transport to pick it up...it is going to be a long week or so.

No, the car in Scottsdale was an ordered car that was pre-sold. Mine is from a TX dealer.

There were a couple at Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach, Ca, last time I looked. Nicely optioned, too.
