Renntech Tune Only 11.04 @ 130.89mph
Ran at the private drag event put on today by Team Spankin Time at Famoso Raceway. DA's ranged from 500-1300 all day, so pretty decent for a So Cal track. Needless to say, my Renntech Intermediate Tune Only car continues to surprise me. Runs were on VP 100 racing fuel and Toyo R888's mounted on stock rims. With proper drag radials, car should easily be good for 10's.

Very nice results and thanks for posting!
Am guessing you have the none face lift model rwd
Did you get new plugs from renntech...as i heard most of the issues with tunes all go back to plugs, just asking so i know what to get if i pull the trigger
The trap speed is amazing
Wonder if the awd varients can do the same hmmm

I personally dont care if you get 10.9 or 11.04- to me the trap speed is far more impressive and means way more in daily usage. I get it though, the number (sub 11) means something as a goal.
Great stuff.

Thanks Vic. Totally agree with you, but darn a 10.9 sure would have been nice to accompany that trap.

Still running stock plugs with no issues thus far, but I do intend to upgrade to Renntech's one step colder NGK's in the near future just as a preventive measure.

In my CLS I was consistently hitting 126mph Tune only. Adrien in his CLS has the same tune and was trapping 129mph. I think our AWD system is hindering the trap speed.

congrats on the 130 trap speed.. love a car that can take you to the Ritz Carlton Downtown LA for a nice week-end and can keep up with just about any mass produced sport car.
all this without drama, worrying about if my meth/alcohol mix is right, boost setting, tons of bolt on mods, power adders supercharger/turbo, clutch slipping, consuming oil, and will pass CA SMOG!
I mention this, since there is lots of cars that use mods to trap 130.. but few can do it with just drop in filters, tune and 100 oct.

Now you are using 100oct without a specific tune, right? Just the renntech box tune I assume. Do you just run the tank to empty and then add a couple of gallons? What's the procedure? I want to try it out at the next 1/4 event.

Yes, just using Renntech's standard Intermediate Tune off the shelf, which as I understand it is for 91 octane. Ran the tank empty then filled with 1/2 tank of vp 100 right before the event.

Wow, this thread really makes me realize what a potential rocketship I drive. It would be interesting if somebody who has a stock 2012 plus E63amg simply put the 100 octane gas in their as to what it would run. I'm willing to bet if the DA was ok that it would be in the high 11's as long as they got off the line good. I'm convinced the new Bridgestone S04 tires I just put on my car would get me a better quarter mile time as they seem to hook up like glue off the line especially compared to the stocker conti's which would vaporize with the traction control turned off. Can't get the Bridgestones to spin under the same conditions, not sure what it would be like off the track line since that is generally a little more slippery than on the street.
