AMG badged grill. Why some and not others.
Got the part... Came in a week... It doesn't have a perfectly flush back where it would press squarely in the grill to adhere to 3m tape... I'll post some pics, perhaps I'll build it up with some epoxy resin. It does wedge in the grill very well that I think it would require very little to keep it secure, but the point of contact should be smooth and flat, and currently it is not

The rectangle of plastic will make that uneven back section flat and more likely to adhere well to the tape.
$74.00 for this POS plastic badge... wow... LOL
Update: so I just used a strip of LOCTITE power grab dual sided tape -- it was rated between -40 C and 120 C -- I figured right by the hot grill this would be ideal, and I used some JB weld epoxy on the base towards the back of this badge to give me some piece of mind -- should be fine.
When you apply the badge -- it is definitely geometrically shaped to go to a certain location on this grill .. meaning it's beveled a certain way so the position that I have it in seemed to be the sweet spot .. any more to the left it was too loose, and any more to the right it was too tight and stuck out incorrectly... you'll find the spot. I did NOT have those identifying/securing holes on my grill as I'm not cool enough.

That's where I got mine from as well.
Just googled sikaflex, which one did you use?

I still need to get this mounted. Got the 30lb 3M extreme mounting tape.
Here is a link. Had to shorten it otherwise ebay makes it super long. http://tiny.cc/kv9giy
