AMG badged grill seems to be intermittent. I have a 2014 E63S and my grill is plain. However, I have seen a few around that are marked with AMG on the driver's side wing. Why is that? Is that part of the night package...which mine doesn't have?

Liking the badged grill though. Would love to see an up close pic. If anybody has one, please post. Thx.

Thanks! A picture is definitely worth a thousand words. Not bad looking. Personally, I would prefer without it because it is just going to be another place that requires extra attention when cleaning.

I like that a lot. That's crazy that some get it and some don't. Its actually a different grill in general, that area between the 2 blades are open on my car and filled in on the grill with the logo.

Looks nice! Subtle detail. I hope my wagon will have the new grille (build date was may 28th so technically if it's not a random update it should have it)

For what it's worth, I've only noticed it on wagons.

Speaking of which, I can't believe how many Wagons I've seen. I think I've seen more wagons than sedans in the pact two weeks!

I wonder how many they have sold this year - there sure seem to be a lot out there for a "special order only" car.

I really wish wagons would become more mainstream here like the rest of the world. Otherwise, you are slammed with a ultra low price during the trade-in here in the States.

Love the subtle AMG touch on the grill as well. Calling my dealership on Monday about the cost to order for my 14 sedan.

Spoke with my service advisor today and it appears that the badge is an attachment for the early 2014 grill. Price is $113.00 USD. Not available quite yet. Here is the email I received:

"According to Mercedes the parts we can look up in the parts department are not available to order. In the Paragon/Mercedes parts ordering system it says parts not available when we go to order them. I am having my parts manager look into it but it might take a few days before he hears back from Mercedes…..the parts are only--$113.00……"

That's a decent price ... If you would be willing, and if your parts manager can get this for you I can PayPal you for the part, shipping to Chicago and $25 for your time ... Let me know

Also will it be a snap on item?

@PeterUbers- if you get the part number you can order it yourself from your local dealer and save the hassles of shipping etc.

good point -- my dealership historically has given me a hard time on ordering certain parts ... but will definitely go to them with a part number.

Cheers

AMG Grill Badge

My 14 E63s wagon does not have the grille badge. However, after looking closely at the grille there are three little holes where the badge mounts.

Thanks for posting the pricing and part numbers. Seems like a cheap and easy mod.

Keep in mind different dealers have different pricing so when you inquire at your dealer, you may get a different price. (even dealers in the same city get different prices so it may be worthwhile to do a little homework)
