E63 launch control and other info please help
Hi, i've just recently bought a black E63 and absolutely love the car, was looking for a C63 but then this came up so I personally think this is alot more car than the C (C is absolutely spectacular anyway!). I have 3 questions if people can help..
1- my temperature sits at around 100 (degrees) rather than the mid mark of 90, should i be worried? its never gone above it, car is fairly new only done around 15k miles.
2- race start/ launch control etc. how do i launch the car?the race start and the AMG button, how do i full on utilize the available functionality? i want the most out of this beast so any help with what settings you prefer- ups and downs etc. I'm in KSA and petrol is cheaper than water so i dont mind leaving the car in the highest fuel consumption setting there is (tanked from a quarter up 3 times in 5 days!)
3- finally, what tricks/ functions do people know about this particular merc, i dont think i have any performance or exclusive package, i have a sunroof and seat massager.. when i owned the B7 S4 there were alot of things i learnt from forums etc so i'm hoping you experts can shed some light for examp is there an engineering mode in the COMMAND system, can i take off the lock that prevents you from watching DVDs whilst the car is in motion, anything really from key tricks to turning the car into bumble bee (more of an optimus).

Lots of this covered in other threads. Spend some time on the forum and use the search function.
Race start: oil temp above 100C, sport mode engaged (not AMG button - that is just a memory switch) , depress brake firmly with left foot, select race start, confirm with right paddle, floor throttle, release brake + keep throttle to the floor. You only have ~8 seconds or so before it disengages so you need to time it right if you are racing.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
As far as increased performance you may want to think about a performance tune, although this could jeopardize your warrantee if that's a concern. Nothing you can really do in engineering mode to increase performance or defeat the DVD screen hide function, for that you need to add a hack box which are available for that purpose, I think they are around a couple hundred bucks or so. To me not worth it.

Congrats on the new ride!
I personnally would not want somebody driving arround in such a car (or any car!) on public roads with a DVD playing in the front screen. There is a reason why you cant do it and its to focus on the road. Your passengers can use an Ipad to watch wathever the want...

Congratulations! It sounds like we have similar cars. I bought mine in May. I'm loving the E63 AMG...

Nice one! Really appreciate it,yeah it is quite a beauty and i've still not had a chance to test the launch, ive learnt how to activate bluetooth audio to iphone 5s,if you need help with that i'll be happy to do so. Very tempted to wrap it in gun metal grey... Anyone done any wraps?
