It's the other way around, removing intake and exhaust restrictions on a turbocharged application helps performance. That why guys are on here selling stuff

You're actually a little wrong there...
The cats and down pipes give power, a resonator and rear mufflers don't do much except make the car nosier.
Mercedes also do offer non-restricted air-boxes as well should look it up .

The more you know
I'm quite sure i've made a few threads on mbworld and benzworld of before and after dyno results of changing the catback exhaust, and Carbonio intake over the ROW standard air boxes and there was no power difference at all.
Should really talk to a mechanic that knows what they are talking about.
Mine modifies more amg's than Mercedes dealer services them self.

A lot of people sell you bull crap on this forums.

If you dont believe me, dyno your car 3 times with a resonator on, and 3 times without a resonator and if it comes up with different results or a power gain i'll send a cake which says *congrats you were right i'm wrong* haha.

WTF, you are paranoid. In no way, shape, or form can this affect your warranty. If you want to get it done, get it done. Are you leasing the car or something? If so, I wouldn't recommend doing the mod.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I would not waste the time or money doing anything like this, I think the car sounds pretty good stock as it is.

Wow...that was a long reply and didn't even address the topic at hand. No matter how minor, res and muffler are restrictions and their removal will only help the with the efficiency (and therefore power output)of a turbo charged system.

My Rez is now gone.....

Read this thread, did some research, now my resonator is gone! And I love it!!

Used the sophisticated sound measuring devices called "my ears" and the "seat of my pants". Well worth the couple hundred bucks.

Nice job with the mini h pipe decision.
Since the day I finally ended up with this version last year have loved it and would have a tough time going back.

2011 E63
Guys has anyone done the resonator delete for the NA M156 E63? I think most posts refer to the delete for M157s. TIA

Maybe there are some back-pressured related performance decrease associated with messing around a NA's exhaust that you will have to take into consideration.
