Got three car seats in the back (if anyone cares)

I use a Chico Keyfit 30 on the end (using latch), and middle benz belt for the Radian R100 and another R100 with latch on the opposite end (pics to follow)

I use the rear deck restraint for all three -- solid as a rock.

Now I have THE ultimate grocery getter and can haul three rug rats

Curious. The Keyfit 30 is a rear-facing infant seat and isn't meant to be used with a top tether. Are you really doing that? Top tethers are only for forward-facing toddler/kid seats AFAIK.

you're absolutely right, misspoke in my first post -- no tether on the keyfit rear facing.. it just uses the latch

The only disadvantage of having the rearfacing, as you parents know, is the front seat passenger gets little legroom

I was debating on getting the benz seats, but they weren't as narrow as the Radian, and the radian is solid.. darn near weighs 40-50lbs each .. kinda kills me a bit because the seats alone add about 100lbs of weight ... they're killing my quarter mile times, LOL

I'll try the same thing with baby seat, forward infant seat and booster once car gets here (got unloaded from boat today in Halifax! Yeah!).

Nice work. We'll be putting three forward-facing Radians across the back when we eventually get our wagon.

There's a number of us doing the 3-in-the-back thing. I was really excited this last week to take one of the boosters out (he's big enough now to use the normal seat). Now if the youngest would just potty train...

With a wagon I also fit the dobie in the way-way back

Seriously. In all my years of crazy automobile ownership, I've never had a car so well rounded and ... "integrated".

We are very lucky people.

Our mdx has latch for three seats in the second row, wish the Benz would add this simple and cheap feature .... Latch is so superior to the oem belts

I wish I could get my 3 yo to potty train!! Lol

Part of the pain in the *** of having buy-backs of two e550s was that dropping them off for loaners a hundred times made swapping car seats such a pia that it fueled my rage towards Mbusa and they heard about it each and vwery phone call

I finally just bought two extra car seats for all the loaners and forced mb dealership to install them each time I dropped the e550 off for another trans repair

i drive them all, fast and hard
mine kids are 2, 4 and 6 so they fit three across in our denali easily, with 2 Recaro Prosports and 1 recaro proride

they are wide so i dont think i can get that into the E class. I can in the old S, but there are no tethers and the seat belts dont lock at all

in my E i do a recaro probooster for the 6 yr old, and i put the 4 yr old in that older Proride that we have.

i dont think the 3 recaros would fit across my E, nor in a GL.

Keyfit 30 is sweet... Easiest base of all time.. Quickly and tightly locks into latch and easy easy to get out ... Solid yet light weight seat, $189.00 shipped on amazon ... Worked for three kids so far, 3yo, 2yo, and 4 months

Easy also to clean fabric and reapply fabric... Not many buyers factor this in... Yur kids are gunna $h;t, ****, and puke all over these things ...

Yes, the Keyfit 30 is great, and super easy to remove & re-install whenever needed. Problem is that when the infant carrier is installed into the base, the front seat can't go back very far. If your wife is over about 5'4", she'll be uncomfortable.

I have no idea if other infant car seats are any better.

Yeah. Love my 3rd, but wouldn't recommend 3. 2 was the perfect number.

For you folks running the Radian in back, can you set it up rearward-facing without intruding on the front legroom? Just wondering if my passengers' knees will still be in the dash if I ditch the Keyfit for a rearward-facing Radian.

I haven't done it but looked at tonight and it would take the same or more space and cause the same or more decrease in legroom for front passenger

That is impressive! Three seats!

We started out with a large 3-i-1 seat, but found that going with different seats for each stage was much more convenient.

- A dedicated rear facing infant seat is much smaller than the 3-in-1s, so fits much more easily, and many can be easily pulled out of the base and dropped onto a stroller.
-Forward facing seats are pretty large, but provide a lot of protection with 5 point harnesses and bolstering.
-Booster seats are easy for kids to use, and allows them to buckle themselves in & out.

Well at least the kids can brag that they were the fastest ones to the play date!

And, . . . . They can laugh at the Camaros, Mustangs, and some Beamers as you blow by them!

GO DADDY GO!!!!

Faster! Faster! Mama said don't be late.

I have a bubble bum seat in mine. Simple and doesn't damage anything for kids that just need a booster. My kids used it since they 4
