The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is a big, heavy, and above all else, hugely powerful sedan meant for blasting down the autobahn at near-impossible speeds. However, with the new Hellcat contending for the same spot as the E63, can the seasoned veteran still compete on the same level as the new kid on the block for a king's title among powerful sedans?

MBWorld Reviews the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S 4MATIC
Great review! But you need to rename the review TITLE, this isn't an "S" model IE your test car is regular NON "S" model.. It doesn't have the "S" badging nomenclature attatched to AMG trunk lid. Your model's also missing the RED brake calipers, yours has regular dark grey calipers etc.. Otherwise fantastic review thnx for sharing..MBWorld Reviews the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S 4MATIC

Yeah, kind of an embarrassing mistake on a forum dedicated to Mercs.
It's not an S model, and it doesn't have 577hp as stated in the story.

Actually from his review he got the power rating etc etc right, he just needs to rename the title of review..Originally Posted by ace10

When I say this car hooks, it hooks. It’s not just fast — *it’s “hold on to something” fast. That 550-hp twin-turbo engine digs and digs for more power*and*more torque. It rips to 60 entirely faster than you could believe. This is still a monumentally heavy car, but somehow it keeps building speed until impossible numbers are staring at you from the gauges.

Actually, the author did a stealth edit and failed to disclose the change in a footnote.

Point here.. If you're going to review an MB on this site, you better thoroughly familarize yourself w/what you're actually reviewing before you start stroking the keybord

One more point...
If anyone finds fault with the steering in the new E63, then perhaps a check of the tire pressure is in order.
I think the steering is actually top shelf. Zero complaints about effort, feel or feedback. Including driving one at COTA.
Factory recco tire pressures are VERY unusual and likely to be mis-filled by someone not familiar. Or not keeping up with drastic changes in ambient during seasonal changes.

Ace, I've read conflicting things here and can't clearly figure our proper cold temp pressure... I'm at 42 all around right now ... What are your thoughts?Originally Posted by ace10

I agree, I'm running 40 psi all around and could not be more happy with steering feel and all the tires seem to be wearing properly. For some reason when I take the car anywhere for a oil change and even when I had the tires put on the car at Firestone they inflated them all way too high, like around 54 psi.
