I picked up a 2011 E63 this weekend, drove from Florida to Chicago to pickup the car. The ride back in the E63 was a much nicer drive.
Car is almost perfect aside from a few chips and some wear on the drivers bolster.
Black on black with just about every option except the performance package.
So some questions I have. I need to get floor mats, can anyone recommend some good inexpensive ones? I need carpet not rubber mats.
My active bolsters seem to not be working correctly. Sometimes they come on, and the right side seems to work, but the left one never seems to do anything and then they just randomly shut off and when I press the button, it just blinks and turns off. I'm guessing something is malfunctioning?
The car keeps telling me to replace the key battery. I watched the dealer I got it from replace both batteries in the keys. Both work and yet it keeps saying replace key.
I think that's about it. Please excuse me if this post doesn't make a lot of sense, I'm still out of it after the long trip.
I read your other thread that discusses going cheap on brakes, low octane gas and garage maintenance. Now you're looking for cheap floor mats. I just wanted to wish you the best with your AMG ownership experience, it may be an eye opener for you.
Thank you for the issue regarding the key. This is why I did the crazy drive this weekend as the factory warranty expires end of month. Premium gas is definately tough for me but I'm getting used to it. As for floor mats, I just want to protect the carpet from stains and wear and kids. I really wanted AMG logo ones but it looks like those are non existent or incredibly expensive so it might just be mercedes logo ones off ebay as cheaper ones take 4 weeks.

I think you have said that the car is under factory warranty for a short period of time. Get it to a dealer ASAP and get all of the items you mentioned fixed free. The seat problem alone could cost a $1000.00. Key fobs are about 250.00 and you have to have your registration of ownership and tag before Mercedes will order a key. You can get good sets of OEM AMG floor mats on ebay at low cost. . http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Merc...-/111562039103
Yes tomorrow an independent mercedes service place is going to look it over to see if they see anything else that needs to be repaired under warranty and then I will get it in as soon as possible. So far I have the key issue, the automatic bolsters and the headlights I notice have haze in them, I read on here that is covered under warranty. I didn't see those AMG mats on ebay you linked. Just checked now. High shipping. They have same mats with mercedes logo for 118.75 with free shipping, I likely will go with those as I have no reason for rubber mats.

I think I purchased the same 118.00 mats for my previous car. It was money throne away. They were so thin and within a week stitching was coming apart. I wonder what happened to the original mats? Also why go to an indie shop when any warranty repairs needed and TSBs required by Mercedes will be a no cost. The Mercedes dealers will go through you car and check everything for a small fee and then fix it free. They have all the proper star diagnostic equipment for AMG cars. Unless the indie shop has a lot of experience with Mercedes AMG E63 cars I would not let them touch it. A good test is to ask them what kind of transmission is in your car and what kind of clutch system is in it. ( Mercedes 7 speed MTC transmission, double wet clutch)They should know without seeing the car. Be careful not to use after market oil filters.

These are the mats I was thinking about, are you saying they were no good? If so I'll just get the covercraft mats for 63 dollars and if they wear out, no big deal. I asked the place I bought it from about the mats, they said they usually don't get the mats and if they do they discard them for health reasons because of other people stepping on them. The place i'm taking it to specializes in Mercedes and has all the equipment and they said they would check it out for free.

No the mats I purchased were suppose to be Mercedes with AMG logo. I think I ended up with a Chinese knock off. The ones you show look good. Hengst makes the oem filter for the 2011 Mercedes E63 engine. the Hengst number is W0133-1785326-HEN Some after market filters may not be able to handle pressures or can restrict flow. I used an after market filter in my e500 only one time and when I changed oil and filter it looked like a crushed coke can that had been squeezed. Spend the five extra bucks for the right filter.
Why not just buy the Weathertech floor mats that will last forever and they are only $100. Those off brand ones on Ebay you just never know what you are going to get. I have the digital cut ones in my car but the regular cut floor mats are high quality also.
If buying premium gas is hard for you... This amg will destroy you when you have out of warranty problems and it's pretty common to have out of warranty issues ... Case in point the issues you have right now
Hope you are getting an aftermarket or elw warranty

Congrats nonetheless
Yes, Extended warranty 5 years or 125K total miles extended warranty.
As for the floor mats, maybe I'm being silly but don't the rubber mats look kind of cheap in a nice car like this? I can understand if it snows or something, but the most I get is some rain. Is the general consensus that everyone uses the rubber floor mats?
I'm showing HENGST 0001803009 as the oil filter number. Is that correct?

I agree rubber floor mats look cheap in the car. I use rubber floor mats only in the winter and use the carpeted mats that came with the car in the summer.
'14 E63S, '13 G550, '06 E320 cdi, and a bunch of other stuff.
I ordered a set of Lloyd Ultimats for our Panamera last month. Contrasting edge binding. $108 shipped for a set of four. Similar quality to the Merc and POrsche OE mats. The fit was vitrually identical to the Panny's OE set. Same fastening system.
picked up a used black set of genuine mercedes floor mats on ebay for 70 bucks. Those should do for now. Seem to be perfect except a little wear in the heel area where the gas pedal is. For 70 bucks, I can settle for not having the AMG logo on the mats.
I appear to be missing the vent in the glove box, seems the plastic dial thing that should be at the top of the glove box is gone. Does anyone know the name of this or the part number? I've been searching for it and probably not calling it the right thing.
Another thing I noticed Is I seem to get noises from the command unit when playing music, I'm guessing this is normal? I also have creaks when going over bumps, uneven roads. Dealer said it isn't making unusual noise when going over bumps etc and I'm thinking the suspension is so stiff that this is inevitable.

Is the noise from playing CDs, radio, ipod, or sd card? I use a sd card with a pcmcia adapter in the center slot of command unit and have no noise. I too do have creaks on cold mornings from the pano roof.
I was doing cds and blue tooth streaming today, I think it was doing it with both. It's 65 degrees here and while the car isn't a rattle trap, it certainly isn't silent.
How come you use the pcmcia adapter instead of just using a flash drive? Is one better than the other in this vehicle?
My car sat out for 4 hours in the heat today, when I got back in, everything was squeaking, center console trim around gear shift worst of all. Not even sure I'd know what pano sunroof noise sounded Like.
