Picked up a W212 E63 and Now...
Hello I just picked up a 2010 E63 w/ 44k miles. Black and Grey. I'm completely new to AMG and the 6.3 N/A motors.
I've bought a lowering kit, the H&R's and Rear Links...but I have the stock 18 inch wheels. Does anyone have pics of their lowered e63 with the stock wheels?
I'm thinking of keeping them or upgrading to 20's. I also want to buy a front lip and rear diffuser...any suggestions as I want to stay within $300-$500 per lip?
One last thing, is there a way I can set the car to where when I turn it on it automatically goes to sport mode not comfort?
Thank you all in advance!

Since you stated that you are new to AMG, may I suggest you do some research on repair cost and the head bolt problem with some 2010 engines. ie. the front brake rotors are 800.00 to 1200.00 each and the brake pads are 120.00 to 300.00 for the front set and that's parts only. Rear air springs are also very very expensive, so be carful with modifications. Also, make sure you use shops that "know" Amg Mercedes cars, they are a different animal. All that said, its a fun as hell car and I love mine.

I bought my 4-fin diffuser from euroteck as it is better looking and more aggressive than the 3-fin. The diffuser is not on eurotecks website anymore but if you email them, they probably have it in stock. I received it pretty quick once ordered. The front lip I ordered on eBay as I didn't wanna spend too much on it because it gets the most damage from scrapes especially if u lower ur car. The front lip was $550 shipped from eBay and the diffuser was $600 shipped if I remember correctly. You can get the 3-fin for around $4-500. I also replaced my trunk spoiler with a carbon fiber one and I have mirror replacement covers on order. Good luck

Thank you, I appreciate it very much. Yes I've done some research and I expected repairs to be pretty expensive. I came from an M5 and prior to that a '12 Alpina B7 so I'm pretty familiar with high cost of maintanance...I guess it's the price we pay for not wanting to drive mediocre lol Thanks once again!

I mean, I'm thinking about not lowering it and just putting in a front lip and rear diffuser and keeping the stock AMG 18's...but at that ride height I'm not sure how stupid it'll look with the lip?

Wow, you jumped through quite a few cars in a short period of time. Since you have managed to handle an AM and all its problems, I am sure you will have no problem with this car, which has been quite reliable so far. Have fun.

I thought I had pretty good research skills...but I can't find a lip that ships from within the USA at a decent price (under $600) that doesn't cost over $1k...?
I guess it's not that profitable to make front lips for E63's lol
Any help? Maybe sites burried deep in Google? I didn't want to go outside of the country because of fraud and all.

Also...what if I only lowered the car using the rear links and kept the stock front springs...will it look "flush"/even or will it be lower in the rear and high in the front?
Thanks
Thanks

I am currently in between stages as I am waiting on my wheels to show up. I just had H&R installed in the front and haven't touched the rears yet. I have the 18" OE wheels, so exactly what you are looking for less the front lip. I will take a photo sometime in the next couple of days and post it.
FYI - it doesn't look horrible and the average person probably won't even notice. But if you know a little about a little, it will look a bit off. Mainly due to the fact that the wheel looks a bit tucked in from the fender with the OE wheel offset. BUT nothing that wheel spacers can't solve if you're not planning on new wheels.

Yes please take a pic and let us see. I'm leaning more towards keeping the stock 18's (with spacers) and just lowering it a bit with the front lip and rear diffuser.
