Some good advice here.... but for lowering save your cash vs an ELM and springs and just get the KW HAS kit with the links in the back or use your links that you said you have.
The KW spring rates are much better than H&R's two stage and allow for progressive compression and rebound so you get comfort where you need it on hard roads and stiffness on flat surfaces and strong sharp turns and high speed sweepers. I used the KW HAS kit on my 2012 E63 wagon, 2012 CLS63, plus my new AMG GTS (all 4 corners) and also on my 2014 RS7. Further the same company private labels their springs for Novitec which has dropped my Ferrari 458, FF, and Lambo Huracan. And another great thing about the HAS is the ability to adjust the front in your car to your liking (height) while the rear is adjusted via the links (your tech will know this)
Nice car, good look, good luck.

Thanks for your comments and looking at your stable, you are a man with great taste and an experienced modder.
My question is if I go with the KW H.A.S. Kit with rear links and my current 20" Vossen wheels ( that came off of my 2011 E350 ) with the following specs.:
Vossen CVT 20x112 44mm offset
Vossen CVT 20x112 55mm offset
245/30/20
275/30/20
15mm Spacer all around with 40mm bolts ( added per Vossen for my E63 )
Will I rub or sit flush ? I want to lower my E63 where it sits about 1 finger from the top of the tires to the finders, but am afraid if I do get that low that the airmatic as I know it will lower my back wheels even more when it is going at a certain speed than it is sitting still? Any input from you or other members would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks and love your new GTS.

If you drop it you will have negative camber (or more of it) which will pull the wheels inward, which is a good thing if you are close. From your pics it looks like you have a good amount of lateral room in the front and enough in the rear but a top down view will help further. I wish I remember my HRE offsets on my W212 E63 (2010) but you might want to search my posts. My set up was 20x9 and 20x10.5 with Invos = no rub but the offsets and widths were key.

Its hard to say without eyeballing it. Have your local shop view it as they should be able to assess if you will rub with a drop. Also you didn't list your widths of your wheels just the bolt patterns.

Please allow me to rephrase my questions:
1: I heard it is not good nor safe to use spacers. Is there any truth to that either for short or long term?
2: Can I adjust the KW HAS and rear links to sit evenly from front to back during installation ?
3: I am planing on changing the current Hankook tires on the Vossen wheels to Michelin pilot sport tires only if using spacers is not a hazardous thing to do. What would be the ideal tires size to use with the CVT wheels specs.?
4: Once I get the height dialed in with the KW HAS and rear links, would the rear airmatic lower itself once a certain speed is hit thus, making the car lower than what I originally wanted it to be height and comfortability wise.
Lastly, would I need chamber or toe kits once the car is lower so I do not need to change mine tires every other month?
Many thanks Vic and all who can help answer my questions.
Here is a photo ( maybe photoshopped ) of my Vossen wheels on a CLS63. This is the height I want it to look like for reference.
Again many thanks for your help.

Please help.
First and foremost. Is using spacer a danger to the car and the people in it?

Lowering Expert
Guys,
Really want to lower my E63 with the recommended KW HAS and rear links. I have the 20" Vossen with:
20x8.5 with 44mm offset
20x10 with 55mm offset
15mm spacer all around with 40mm bolts
What is the best tire specs. for the almost pulling the trigger Michelin pilot sport tires.
I want to sit flush without any rubbing of bottoming out issues obviously. Your expertise would be much appreciated.

Thank you. Unfortunately I do not have sound clip. I was interested in getting a Gopro 4 hero, but didn't know what kind of mounting bracket to get so it wouldn't fall off when mounted on the rear bumper close to the exhaust facing forward at faster speeds. Any idea? Thanks again.
