Weistec E63tt tune $1500?

I was told by a friend that a Weistec tune would run me $1500 but looking at their site and see it priced at $2950.00. I prefer Renntech but can't justify $3,000 for a tune. Any safe alternatives to these?

3000.00 is a drop in the bucket for what you get... Which is a totally different beast

Eurocharged and AMS are less expensive alternatives for canned tunes

What truly is a "safe" tune?

Problem is there is not nearly enough people out there getting these tunes, additionally there's not enough of those people reporting back any of their problems over time, and often the turnover rate on these AMG cars is really high.and the people reporting back any problems are just like any other person who's jaded because their car isn't working right, they are going to report a problem, but never report back all of the nonproblematic driving over four years

there are lots of people who have gotten them, ive been on this thread since 2011 and when i got my car jan of 2012 tons of people had tuned....but yeah alot of those people turnover their cars so we may not hear from new owners....i havent tuned....i want to but i dont....i dont plan on selling my car so im paranoid of any issues....we tend to keep our cars in my family....its paid off and the going rate is what...only 60grand for these now....thats a big loss..I live close to weistec and know them pretty well so id propbably go with them if i do

the thing is....i think the only place to really use the power is on a track or 1/2 mile runs

ive done that stock, and hit around 148, while a members renntech car hit around 155-160 i believe......but for everyday driving on the freeway, i have over 500whp and 540 wtrq, so that means im probably well over 600 in reality stock....should be enough

for now

Weistec E63tt tune $1500?

I have a Renntech full time and love it. Super powerful. Transforms the car. And no issues. And it pulled as hard or harder than a friend's CLS63 with a Weistec tune and catless DPs. Mine has stock cats and DP -- Renntech tune and Renntech sport mufflers only

2016 AMG S65, AMG GL63, 2012 AMG E63 With AMS Alpha 9 Package, Renntech 200 Catted Downpipes.
No offense to anyone, but when I was doing my ECU study, I found this on Weistec. It seem the AC went out on the street test which scared me especially when testers post clips of tests and outline the problem.

Didn't really find anything that would dis persuade me with going with my Renntech. Renntech has the history and is a large enough company to trust. Plus I heard the Renntech exhaust and was content to get it and it wasn't an option for me to get the Renntech diffuser and exhaust and an AMS ECU tune.

Turn up the volume watching the video, you can hear Matt saying the AC went out.
