Two RADAR displays in mirror - 9500ci/V1
Hello All,
As the title states, I just had my two ECM displays set in the rear view mirror of my '14 E63 wagon. They work very well. I thought some here might be interested in the setup.
Cheers

I miss the nice blue but it won't show up as well in the sunlight and the matching red displays are the way to go from an aesthetic point of view.
The mirror is the OEM unit that came with the car. The person who did this wasn't sure they'd both fit with all the rest of the electronics in the mirror but as it turns out there's space for an over/under setup. Really sweet, I agree. I wish I had done this some time ago. I miss the mute function on the V1 remote accessory but I may find a way to incorporate it at a latter date.
They both work very well.

I found them through Escort's website search of authorized Escort dealers in my area. It was my first time with them and I will return for their services when I'm next in need of customization. They do a lot of high-end cars like Ferraris, AMGs, as well as more mainstream vehicles. He did other work apart from this that worked out very well. I like his enthusiasm.

Whoops. I hope I'm not in violation of posting the contact information of the vendor that did the work for me. ??
I guess I'll find out shortly...

I got to say that's a very cool solution.
Here in Australia if I asked an auto electrician to do that I'm sure I'd get a jaw drop and silence.
Are radar detectors legal where you are? They are illegal here but I can still get them and install them.

I’m out of my scope of knowledge here but I’ll try:
First, I have not noticed any issue with having the two units but they are not next to each other. The actual radar antennas are about six feet from each other so I think that may diminish any issue if there is potential for reduced functionality. One is in the front of the car and one is on the sun visor. Also, the 9500 uses a patented TotalShield antenna technology as they call it, making the unit undetectable to radar detector Detectors. So, any signal leakage would be from the V1 through the antenna windows. I think the distance between the two is enough but maybe someone here knows more than me about this.
As far as performance that I can see, the 9500 sometimes picks up signals from up ahead sooner. However, as you can see in the picture, the V1 is alerting to a signal from the rear while the 9500 hasn’t picked it up (or dropped it sooner as I moved away from the stationary signal source). I noticed this on the freeway the other day when I was alerted to Ka coming from behind. Since the 9500 only has a front antenna I can see how the V1 would have the advantage with signals from behind.
In short, if there is diminished functionality of the 9500ci due to the V1’s internal signal leakage I still like the setup because I value the arrows. I don’t think there is though, or if there is it is likely insignificant in real world usage.
They are legal in most US states, including mine.

Sorry, I know this is an old thread but I'll answer anyway:
The top display is for the Escort 9500ci with laser shifting (jamming).
I forgot what it cost to do it but it wasn't an extreme amount. Maybe ~$600 or so?
I was looking for this picture which is why I came back to it. I didn't realize that the thread lived on after I forgot about it.
