2k differential fluid change service not performed on time
Quick question....
Would you assume a vehicle at 7k miles if the fluid service wasn't performed at 2k miles even if the fluid was changed and Mercedes confirmed "No metal shavings in oil, differential seems to be in perfect operating order" ?
Thanks guys, I just can't make up my mind and found another car with a very attractive payment but again this service was not performed. It's getting done this week but I don't want to have issues down the road. TYIA!

Shouldn't be the end of the world. What I would suggest is just make a note that it is an LSD diff as those are the only ones requiring the 2k mile change and have them make a note to say - any issue for LSD will be covered for warranty period.

I wouldn't worry at all. I especially wouldn't allow it to draw me away from an otherwise flawless car

MBWorld Fanatic!
I was fortunate enough to find the differential fluid change actually listed on the carfax on my pre-owned E63 S. I also called the dealer to confirm (which they did). I had seen this as an issue on the forum and wanted to make sure it was in order.

What else needs to be done at 2K besides the diff? I asked my sales advisor is there is any break in service needed after 1K miles, and he said just drive it until you get the service light for A service.
My X5M had a 1200 mile break in service, and they changed the oil, diff, and some other fluids.
