.
That started as an awesome build thread, and turned out quite baffling. Subscribed to see how it ends up. I know the M157 is a strong yet old engine. Too bad so many complications appeared.

Hopefully you'll put your car back on the road with full boost and all problems will be solved!

Update

Just installed the h&r spring

Just receive my new air suspention

Im supposed to go on the dyno i have few problem the guy installed the alpha boost cooling kit put the relay not on the good place and the fuse blow so i finish on a towing and i ship the car directly to mercedes dealer and my friend at mercedes put me the spring this morning and put the air shock tonmorow and ajust with his scanner the rear suspention to drop the back too if he dont snow next week i going finally to the dyno but my guy from turboshop tell me to install blowoff on the car to eliminate the backpressure in the turbo ... what do you think of this ? I see weistec just release a kit with diverter valve this week for that so i can make one custom kit for like 500$ what do you think?
The tow ride

The M157 bleeds boost using VVT and timing tricks. a blow off valve would just be for show/sound.

when my turbo blow the wheel unscrew and my guy at the turbo shop tell me the only time he see that is on a car dont hate blow off or dv ..with the stock turbo is ok but with turbo upgrade bigger wheel more pression maybe its very better to have something to eliminate all the backpressure...

i think weistec dont make that for nothing ...he maybe have few problem with is turbo upgrade and finally make something to prevent turbo damage

You know, you may have a point. It dawned on me that the OEM strategy might be fine for lower boost applications, but on a tuned car we might be exceeding its capabilities to bleed boost, leading to surge and compressor stall. Probably even more so on a big turbo car moving a greater deal of air across the entire RPM range. Compressor surge can be damaging, especially on journal bearing turbos with tight tolerances. Might be good insurance to add something like the the weistec kit on upgraded turbo cars. Though I'd probably just fab it up myself from the oem pipes.

Copied from MB training document

"With the speed of the shifts, and minimal drop in rpm it is not needed. they sill modulate the waste gate to adequately regulate the pressure"

Looking good.
Eurocharged should chime in regarding the use of a wastegate.... It's their turbo kit after all.
