Wrapping my amg in midnight purple :)
I've done as much as i could with performance on this white e63...
Although im bored of the car staring at the same car everyday.
I'm going to get it wrapped in midnight purple.
A lot of audi R8, and r35 GTR have this wrap.
I will post before and after pictures of this little project.

I've also been thinking of wrapping my new black E63 in either orange or purple... even went to the wrap shop for an estimate. Right now leaning towards just leaving it black because the OEM paint job is so spectacularly high-quality. Depending on how yours goes I may change my mind.

I just want a bit of a change for a while i know i can always have it peeled off if i ever sell the car or go back to the white paint
If the wrap cost too much in australia then i may not go with it but depending on what estimate i get too.

What about door jams, under the hood and under trunk deck, inside fuel door, door inside edges and hinges? Will all of this stay the paint color and look strange when a door is opened?

Nothing about it looks bad super clean lines all around. It helps my car was black. Most people dont even k n ow its a wrap until i say something. They also dont even notice the door seams until point them out then they say "I would of never noticed "

I agree it works when the wrap is dark and the car is black. But if the car is white or another light color and the wrap is dark then it looks odd to me, like a cheap closed door paint job.

That is an issue... according to the shop I visited, they claim all this can be done but it's thousands extra, and they have to remove major pieces from the car (doors, etc.) Depending on the wrap color and what you're doing with your exterior trim it may or may not look bad when you have doors open and stuff.

That's not bad at all considering how much some shops charge and excellent quality!
How is the wrap holding up against rock chips from day to day driving (not sure if this is your daily)?

Yes it is daily driven. About 3k on the wrap no rock chips as of yet.
