First post your VIN, then also post the wire colors from the W211---make sure the colors are correct, repeat correct!

colors of my car and another one (w211) are not the same. i connect everything and at this time 6 electric cable are left. i think only 2 cables are necessary for this fan, because dont understand which one is for this

1st picture:i think this 2 line is for fan, not sure

2rd picture: 6 lines from my car

3rd picture: lines from fan (installed w211 amg)

You have a major problem if you use the wrong fan system(the 211 type).

All I could find, with the time I have is the fan wiring for you VIN.

It has four wires and the connector layout is 2 1 3 4

2 is red and goes to the front prefuse F154

1 is brown and goes to ground

3 is black and red and goes to the front SAM

4 is green blue and goes via a connector to the ECU

FYI the ECU controls the fan on\off via the front SAM

================================================== ==============
Found more time this afternoon

The B1 Oil temp Sensor has connections 1 and 2

1 is brown and green and goes to the ground connector

2 is yellow and green and goes to ECU pin 82

The M4\1 Oil cooler fan has connections 1 and 2

1 is brown and goes to ground

2 is violet and goes to fan connector that mates with violet to ECU pin 25 and violet wire from the K25 fan relay pin 1

This will all only work, repeat work when you get the correct 156.985 engine coolant fan installed--all else I pity the poor sap you sell the car to!!

Read post six again---how many pin numbers are talked about? 10, 20 3, or 4--and your answer is what________.

The fan controller is built into the fan----you need a W212 E63 fan for a 156 engine

The most current part number for the M156 is 212 906 79 01------also you may want to look at the 4 pin connector part number 220 545 03 29

Nope don't remember Smokie as I am old and spent most of my early years in Asia and France and Italy---Oh well!! ---------and yes the first number is the fan and integrated fan controller. The second part number is for the connector for four of the wires in picture two that plug into the fan.
