Reading the threads and wondering is M5 a better car?

my 911 was rwd conversion with 700 hp and 3000 lb 2 years I drove everywhere . Hellcats known in putting sub 3 seconds 0-60 , I can live with that . I 5 years ago I had 960 rwd Camaro 5th gen , I drove it in the winter lol

Yeah, RS7 is in my top 3 for my next car along with AMG. BMW isn't on my list because of RWD.
I promised myself that I would not get RWD car because I feel so helpless in winter even with winter tires and all lol.

sad to see a heavy *** Audi S8 beats an e63 amg.
I would still say from a roll start the E63 could be the faster car.

You should add the S8 plus into your list of choices. IMHO it looks much nicer than the RS7 with similar performance.

No one else has a fast wagon in the states. So it's AMG for me.
If Audi RS6 wagon was here, I would be torn. I probably would have gone for it as the interior is much better in the audi than my e63.
As far as mods and speed at the limits, my talents run out WAY before any of that matters.
So AMG feels as amazing as the first day I got it over a year ago.
I haven't been to a drag strip but this forum makes it sound so fun that i'll have to try it soon. but i wouldn't have any expectation of laying down record times in my 4600 pound wagon.

- Holds value/better resale
- Interior fit/finish/materials are nicer
- More exclusive
- less rattles
- MMI>Command
- Better suspension
- Interior lighting is superior in the Audi (Very noticeable during night driving)

Yeah, the guy in the vid that ran 10.8 was the first time in a e63 , he didn't know how to launch it properly , I'm sure on a perfect condition day you can shave some time with an experienced driver, In the vid AMS said it's capable of a mid 10 second car ,
Me personally I would just do Renntech tune and maybe mufflers for the E63, you will have a consistent car with the awd on the street with bs street tires ,be reliable and not (void the warranty), Also 0-100 sprints is all I can do if I'm lucky I live in NYC lol.
Now the Hellcat is a car where you can go crazy modding for a reasonable price, if you just want straight line performance because the Hellcat needs a street slick or slick to get it to go anywhere of the line , useless in the street with street tires ,also if you buy new it's another car that can void your warranty for an air intake or any type of engine modd that would suck on a 70k car !

now mersedes was total disappointment , 8 month down time and almost a price of the car went to nowhere with all the aftermarket fails .
Hell cat can do on the street as good as E63 with tune , but I can get all the parts in the world in Walmart behind the corner (I'm sure you got the point)
I'll go thru many sets of tires , but hell it pay by the smile on my face ! not going to crazy with HC , 900 rwhp should make me happy and the price would be 7-8k if that . also I'll have lots of fun on the track . I just ran out of options .
Never afraid to void my warranty, I afraid to keep it

I tried to test-drive a Hellcat but the salesman wouldn't even let me sit in the car, let alone turn it on or take it out. There were about a half-dozen that had been sitting on the lot for it seems forever, most with big discounts written on the sticker. Then I went to the Mercedes dealer, and they had a single 2016 E63 on the lot... I was in the car and speeding around on a test-drive within minutes.
I don't regret a second I've spent with the E63 but probably would have gotten that Hellcat if the ******** salesman had let me drive it. I'm a fan of crazy colors and they had one in a wacky purple which I loved.

I test drove a HC last month , manager asked me if I ever been in the fast car lol another guy knew me and my jeep , was coming with the Porsche couple times , he gave me the red key and said be careful , when my HC showed up I took the red key no problem , first thing I did was huge burnout on their parking lot with sales guy sitting in the car , he didn't said word , we both were smiling . after 30 minutes beating on it around dealership and going sideways he asked me how I like it , I said - a lot , we signed papers and I left .

audi interior fit and finish is by far the best of the 3 big germans
and the rattling exhaust on startup is always fun to explain when friends tell me "sounds like the exhaust is loose" , and i reply " no, its normal"

and i would assume most people with e63's are well off enough that 13.5K price diff shouldnt break the bank.... probably shouldnt be driving a relatively new model car that retails for over 100K if one is not doing well financially... that's not financially responsible or smart, unless the logic was bernie was gonna get elected and pay all your other bills

average 2014 audi rs7 is 85K on cars.com, average 2014 e63s is 71.5K, so more like 13.5K price diff

And oh yeah, not a SINGLE rattle in my E63 going on six months... with the sole exception of some creaking in the pano roof if I go over a steep dip at an angle.

Why are you comparing used prices? That obviously compresses the delta. Compare NEW prices, then get back to me.

if you go for the lowest listed priced new rs7 and e63s, then rs7= 108K and lowest e63s =108K so 0 delta if you bargin shop

I would say that the rear seating also played a big part of my decision. I like the flow of the CLS's interior better than the E but really need the 3 seats in the back. The same issue exists in the RS7. I love the S8 but I like my cars under 200" long. For me the E class, 5 series and Audi A/S6 are the perfect size range for my needs.

I don't think the s8 is faster, googled 2016 s8 plus 1/4 mile times and it's a mid 11 second car with multiple searches just the same, Audi frowns upon tuning for 157k LOL they can keep it .

S8 deep in 10s known fact , and she was there 2 years ago when m157 was dreaming about 10s .
