I am planning on using the OEM 19" wheels for winter but browsing TireRack.com and other sites is proving to be more difficult than on other vehicles I have owned. Are there dedicated winter options for the 19" set up? I searched the archives and could not find any results directly related to the 19" staggered set.
(I understand some of you may be looking at your calendar and wondering I am shopping winter tires now it's because the last vehicle I owned had winter tires that were out of stock for six months and I had to purchase wheels and tires and tpms and expedite delivery from Germany etc. Looking to avoid this headache again.)

When I bought my car, it came with winters on the stock 19" wheels and had square 255/35R19 Nokian winter tires. Can't tell you how they handled in the winter though as I have the summers put on prior to delivery since it took a long time to get it prepped.

That's the size I used on my cls63, but I had Pirelli. Worked great, and I was only RWD.Originally Posted by Jimminez

Okay. So the square set up is the only way to get 4 corners of matching brand tires for dedicated winter. I was browsing TR and I could do a mix-match set but would prefer to do the same at each corner. Thanks for the help.
Are Pirelli Sottozero no longer offered in our sizes for a staggered setup? I had them on my e63 two years ago, and they were flawless.
I know the set up is staggered, but would it cause problems if I put 255/35/18 on all 4s?
If it was a staggered set up, I should have 35/18 in the back and 40/18 in the front!
Will this affect the 4matic by any chance? Or I must stick to the staggered set up for 18's or 19's?
Thanks,

It will fit the rear regardless of RWD or AWD. Without the heat shields in the front, it will fit on the front as well.Originally Posted by HPMan

I went with an OEM staggerd setup with the Michelin tires. I was very happy with them in the first season of use. I drive a 2016 E63 Wagon.

i used square 255s on OEM wheels during the winter. Used Alpines and worked great.
