14 E63 AMG S 1/4 Mile time tune & down pipe
Had my CKS down pipes and Eurocharged tune installed....car feels so much faster...acceleration is so much better and the sound is amazing. On Saturday I took the car to the track to see what I can run now...keep in mind my fastest ET was 11.649 at 122.93mph the track I go to is at 2700 ft altitude.
The times I ran on Saturday were 11.449 @126.28mph and 11.487 @120.6mph
I do have the UDP intake spacers with their filters and I did put 5 gallons of 110 octane into the tank and filled up the rest (15+gallons) with 91 octane..drove it around until there was a quarter left in the tank . The Eurocharged tune is made for 91 octane.
Hope that someone with more experience can explain the times to me...It just doesn't seam right that I ran almost same times with a trap speed difference of 6mph...I'm thinking the gas I put in is making it run unstable ? Maybe something else? Thx for your help
I'm attaching the time slips...

There’s not much to explain...well except that these cars just don’t respond like we were lead to believe early on. That timeslip is on par for what most others are seeing, especially considering your d/a.

It was probably pulling timing up top. You were tracking fairly close through the 1/8 mile with the second run being slightly ahead but down only .76mph on the 1/8 mile trap. So you lost nearly 5 mph on the back half of the run. Did it get more humid out?

Weather was the same...just confused about the trap speed being so low on that slower run...

Why was there a 2 hour time between runs? Were there other runs? Were you in line the whole time?

The place was packed...probably over 1000 cars at the track that night...they had a few classes....11.99 and quicker..12.99 and quicker and so on..so it took a while for me to run again...

I am assuming you have EC stage 2 tune with DP and I have seen consistent runs around 11.3 1/4 mile runs from some of the members here.

If OP even has the car still, I am sure he won't be taking advice on how to improve his times from 2017.

I was able to get 11.2xx on the tune after I upgraded and reagapped the plugs...heat soak is a ***** up here so I added an ice tank and upgraded to pure turbo stg2...had the car back on the dyno at Eurocharged in Houston durring TX2K19 and was pushing 759whp and over 830whtq ....back at the track I ran a 10.97 with a ****ty 60ft of 1.89 do to all fours spinning..need to upgrade my tires they are pretty bad (on stock wheels) the 20inch rohanas I didnt race ..figured it would run slower since they are bigger...but DA adjusted time was 10.63..for whatever its worth.
Will be going back to the track soon with new tires 😁

Nice times and with most our cars, they roll real fast but to much torque mgt to get the 60 foot times needed to get way into the 10s.
