front brakes need replacing.
Hi, my front brakes are pretty shot out, have the sensor light on, would you recommend any good and affordable front rotors?
Ive come across; brembo $980aud for the set, DBA (disc brakes Australia) $700aud for the set, I am not sure how good DBA is, if anyone else has have them fitted please share your experience with me.
And girodisc rotors, $1400 aud.
Zimmerman which has had a bad review (broke on a few people using them).
Which would you guys recommend and why?
Also please share your experiences.

Racing brake
I would check out racingbreak.com. They sell complete kits for around $2200. And they also offer an option to upgrade to the 390mm front rotors and 360 rear rotors for $3200. Here is the link http://www.racingbrake.com/category-s/7264.htm

The drilled rotors can develop cracks under extreme use. That's why they are only slotted. But if you look at the chart the front rotors are 12lbs lighter each and the rears are almost 7lbs lighter each. I had these on my W211 and they look better then stock. When it's time to change my rotors on my W212 I'm going to upgrade to the 390mm in front and 360mm in rears. These are the SL65 size rotors.

For the $2000+ I saved I can do a lot of upgrades if I chose to do so.
I don’t track the car or plan to do so.

No these are one piece. I figured if it’s good enough for a C63 it will work for my E. I know they weigh more, but for the price I just couldn’t justify the mark up.

When I had to change my front rotors on my 2012 CLS63 last year they were 900-1100 a pop, even online. Also considered racingbrake, etc. But now the front rotors have drastically dropped in price, you can find OEM ones under 400 on eBay easily. For example: Mercedes W218 W212 C190 AMG Front Left or Right Disc Brake Rotor Slotted Drilled https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F15 2550239009
IMO it’s a no brainer. Brakes this large and OEM do the job just fine, I’ve had Evosport floating rotors etc on my previous amg’s, and as great as they are, for the price you can’t beat it.
Good luck!
