Key fob battery dies in a day HELP!
Hello guys and gals, i'm a fairly new member here. Im more familiar with FB groups, but they're not much of help there. I have a 2010 e63 amg with keyless go. My dash is always telling me "replace battery". I literally changed the battery today, and i got 2 push start uses before the battery was too dead for push start to detect and work. I had to pull the button off for me to manually insert the key so that the car would start.
1- why does my battery only last a day at most?
2- what could be going on ?
Any advice would be awesome!

Where did you get the batteries? The ones in the store could be bad. I buy them on line and with a meter, when they're new the voltage is between 3.25-3.27. Once they hit 3.06, you get that warning on the dash. Buy a meter and buy fresh name brand batteries online. Also try the other key fob to make sure you don't have a problem with EIS.

Totally agree, those batteries may have been sitting on the shelf for years, I bought from Amazon and got a bad batch then I went to the local Walgreens and got one with the good expiration date on it and it worked like a charm and I kept getting prior to this a "replace batteries " on the dash

Yeah, it sounds like you might have had a set that was sitting around for a while. EIS is electronic ignition system, that is usually more from a key that doesn't work than a dead battery.

My MB service workshop booked me for a diagnose on the problem. The cost would bee 200 Eur! I´ll cancel that appointment. And only by qualitybatteries .
