Reminder: Never Valet
Getting an estimate to refinish the bumper tomorrow. Fun times.

Not that it will help with this type of incident, but one awesome feature of the latest Sprintbooster is the valet option. When you put into this mode, via entering a 3 digit PIN, the pedal is turned down to about 30% of max power. No joy rides. Or at least no crazy tire burning, getting it on 2 wheels, type joy rides.
I installed this on my 2015 before my tune. With the tune, it is a bit too much so I rarely engage it for throttle response improvement. But I love having it there for any valet situation.

This looks more like carelessness with a curb than joyriding

Yep, careless valet. Didn't notice it until a day after. I'll call up the hotel after I get an estimate but don't expect them to do much. Lesson learned.

If you do not point it out at the time of pick-up you have no basis for a claim. They will simply say it happened elsewhere. Don't valet park or tip up front.

Sucks for sure.
Had something similar a few years ago. Installed brand new BBS LM the day before checking in to hotel. Tipped before walking away. Next day when checking out, I see a nice deep 3” curb rash on front wheel. Grrr.
Went to front desk manager and they were very apologetic and covered repair cost. I’m sure not a normal occurrence where it wasn’t a fight.

I have heard enough where I will never ever use valet service or go to a place where it is a requirement to hand your keys to a total stranger. Of course, the exception is if I drive a heap of junk.

I can't even trust any of the dealerships in my area to not joy ride my car, let alone a valet. People don't take care of other people's property that they never had to work for. Yes, I had my dashcam catch all the dealers in my area

Parking it yourself and walking better all around for both you and the vehicle.

I valet parked my 2015 at a local restaurant earlier this year. The valet moved the car a few feet around a left-hand turn (with the driver's side door open) to park it in front. He tipped the shifter forward, thinking he was putting it in "park", and hopped out to move another car. So, now in "reverse", my car rolls back toward the front door of the restaurant, until the open door catches a large brick column. Tore the driver's door and fender off, but it slowed the car down enough for the valet to hop back in and brake before it rolled into a group of people waiting for their cars.
Normally I would have flipped out, but I had just completed my order for a new 2019 E63s. Plus the restaurant took VERY good care of my group.

Ha ha wow, that must have been quite a sight.
Anyways, it's just a car and money will be able to make this just as new, bumper will be refinished off the car and the hood and fenders don't need to be 'blended'. They'll either get the diamond white match right the first time or try again. If the hotel reimburses me then great, if not they'll just lose a customer, their call.

Do these people get training? Why has this not been fixed by some inventor yet? Seems as if there are so many ways to prevent this; especially for 'valet' parking venue's.

valet owner: "are you a citizen or do you have a non fake appearing visa?"
applocant: "yes"
valet owner: "are you a criminal?"
applicant: "not technically"
valet owner: "you're hired, you have completed your training."

Having been a valet for about two years... this is pretty accurate actually.

Yeah, Austin has fairly good roads and driving the Exige has gotten me very good at negotiating steep driveways. The bumper *was* free of any scapes visible without getting your head under the bumper.
Wagon goes in tomorrow and it should be good as new by mid week, probably should wrap the bumper but that's a slippery slope...

I agree, not a cheap or a fast job. The shop took a week, I have a few small issues with the work that they will address. Paint match is excellent just some issues around the parking sensors.
