Great to finally see the potential of these cars. On the street, on street tires, full weight, this is honestly something that i never thought would be possible on this platform a few years ago.
You won the crown, you can stop now. haha

I will be out in the Bay Area doing them in short order, Looking for a shop to host at the moment Might end up being Walnut Creek area... I'll be posting a thread soon to raise awareness about the tour - but so far going to: Houston, Seattle, Vegas, Phoenix, Costa Mesa, Orlando, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, and Sacramento. If anyone sees this and wants to set one up for their city/region, just shoot me PM and we'll work out the details.
Thanks!

Were there any RWD cars that had the TCU tuned? I'm interested to hear about traction difficulties, vs. before.

Brutus / Cifdig - amazing job you guys have done with opening this TCU tune up to the w212 platform!
quick question - I may have missed in all the threads on the TCU tune so apologies if this was already posted....
any baseline testing of the TCU tune on a STOCK 2014-2016 E63S in terms of 0-60 or 1/4 mile performance gains from opening up the TCU limitations? Sounds like amazing performance improvements to be gained with this TCU tune and worst case is some trans rebuild which is much better to deal with economically than blowing up your motor from an overly aggressive ECU tune which doesn’t offer too much more performance anyways (due to the stock trans limits of course).

That may not be the best comparison, since he's on those tires, but he could probably still provide some info on traction. Can you tag him, or let me know his ID?

Is it the TQ limits that end up restricting the TPS values? Do we know how that process works if so?

However, I called the shop in that region yesterday, and they stated that they (EC) needed 10 people signed up (currently only 3 on list) before they will come to Minneapolis. Your post contradicts that. So, can I expect it is just a matter of time before you get to Minneapolis or am I out of luck if only 4 (including me) are on the list?

Dave, I will be driving 5 hours to get to Minneapolis when (if) EC goes there.

It's never been mainstream, even though it's been around for many years , and as we start to see some videos and reviews coming out on it's benefits and performance numbers - I have no doubt we will fill the rosters quickly
Hope that clears things up a bit. Remember - the deposit is refundable if we don't show up, so nothing to be concerned with there.
Thanks!

thanks Dave, that certainly clears up any confusion. Definitely following progress and EC MN has my name. Hopefully they will call me as dates firm up. My (as probably others) schedule given the distance needed to travel will determine if I am available when tuning event happens.

New personal best for this car today as well...
To aid in launch the rears were shod with MT Streets in 285/35R19 running 20 psi cold.
We didn't do a full 1/8 mile pull due to our location, but we manged to get a few launches in for good measure.
New best for this car....
My car has never seen a 1.69 60ft before this tune... the MT's definitely play a part in getting out of the hole and maintaining traction, but without the TCU tune the car wouldn't have been making enough torque in first for it to matter otherwise...
Note the 1/8 mile run was cut short. We were actually on the brakes by the 1/8 mile. Ignore the ET and trap, they are not valid. I only wanted to show the 60ft time.
Here's my 0-60 time... again aided by the MT's but made possible by the TCU tune...
0-60(1ft) of 2.89 sec for 4500lb executive saloon is pretty damn impressive.
We tuned 3 other cars today and they are all very happy with the results of the tune.

Awesome results! I think this is first time I'm hearing about an MB 4matic using street slicks in the back. That is pretty awesome to read that. I'm not a E63 but a stage II E550 and will be signing up for the TCU tune. You may or may not be able to answer my question as I'm a non mct 722.9 but will the manual shifts actually be more crisp with this tune? I know the power will be available but just wanted to ask if anyone can answer. I can't wait to get the tune, however, I just found a 14 E63 for a great price so I'm on the fence now though.
