So I bought a awd 16 e63 wagon two weeks ago. Has some yokohama tires on it and 40000 miles on the car.
So I put my dragy on it stock with 91 octane.. 12.10 @ 115mph.. 60-130 was 11.78.. So being what I know about oem cars and ethanol i decided to mix me up a batch of e30 for it. 4 gallons of e85 and 11 gallons of 88octane.. Hit the road with the dragy and full tank of gas and boom......
11.66 @ 121mph and best 60-130 so far is 9.66..
I then did a 3'' cat delete back pipes on it and it did not pick up anything BUT it sounds *****en now.
Using a Hp calculator it picked up close to 100hp by making it e30 with stock tune and being the car has wide band o2 sensors they are capable of adapting to the e30 fuel with the stock tune and it has ZERO effect on the drive ability of the car! This is the best free 100hp you can pick up on a oem boosted car...
Signed up for the Tcu tune and can't wait for it and to get it on e85..
Nice results and thanks for sharing. Seeing that you're already comfortable with using E blends, if you're not already aware, Eurocharged has a flex fuel tune that will accommodate 93 and any blends of ethanol all the way up to E85.
That is correct... 100% that is all I did... Switched fuel.. Any oem vehicle can run up to e30 fuel with out a tune change. It's 94 octane. Boosted cars or oe's with high compression will love it as i proved..
I remember back in the 90’s walking into a local tuning shop for DSM’s and they had all sorts of crap laying around that were clearly failed experiments. One in particular that caught my eye was a section of exhaust pipe that came from a semi-truck - it must have been 4 or 5 inches in diameter and included the flex piece, which I thought was a novel attempt around having to mandrel bend or weld. These guys were the first to get a DSM into the 9’s so all that tinkering and experimenting paid off.

awesome gains man! Is E30 around 94 octane or more like 98 octane? A station near me in burbs of chicago has E85 plus several other ethanol options already pre-mixed at the pump and they show E30 at 98 octane. Just curious....

I wonder how this would do in my E550 on OE tune. I've done race gas /100 octane here in So Cal but never tried corn fuel.

Have you continued to use e30? Did you end up getting a tune for e85?
Interesting...may have to try this...on my stage 1 2016 Audi S6, I was running 4 gallons e85 + the rest of the tank 93 octane. Noticeable difference in power. Haven't messed with the E63 yet, still under CPO and just enjoying the car stock, but now I'm itching to do a blend on next fill up. Hmmm...
I never knew that M157 facelift 2014-2016 had capability to adapt to E30 content Ethanol and actually "retune" itself to take advantage of the blend.
Pretty cool I must say.

Another side question, are our rubber parts in the fuel system okay with the a higher ethonal blend? Asking as I remember my buddy had to replace all the rubber o-rings in his High Pressure Fuel pump (HPFP) in his mazdaspeed6 due to running the E85.

It's fine with a blend like e30-e50.
additionally I wouldn't store the car with ethanol blend for long periods of time - I would fill and run the engine with 93 for a few miles and then store for the winter etc

just stock you won't benefit from anything with ethanol unless you're tuned for it. However adding e85... like a gallon or two to low tier 93 or 91 octane may provide some knock insurance by upping the octane, and it's only a couple gallons so won't bug the fuel pumps
