Looking to get some wheels, need specs

So I plan on going pretty low and being static. This is my first car to have a staggered setup so it's all new to me (came from Audi).

Going with 20's whats the norm?
10.5 rears, 10 up front?
can you do 10.5 all around?
what offsets are recommended?
I came from 20x10.5 et 25 all around and loved that aggressive look - can this be achieved or would you have to bump down to 19s?

I have a pretty nice flush setup on BCforged wheels. However I have 19’s. 20’s are just too harsh of a ride for me.

I spent a lot of time dialing in the specs b4 having them machined and will share those numbers here.

First, the largest rims you can go are 10-1/2 rear and 9-1/2 front. These allow for a maximum of 305 tires in rear and 265’s in front. There is not enough clearance in the w212 for larger. I am running P4s tires but occasionally I throw on my Proxes 888’s in the rear for Dragy pulls. Keep un mind all of my numbers are on 19’s. So I can’t confirm fitment with my numbers on 20’s.

Offsets:

+50 rear
+35 front.
10-1/2 rear
9-1/2 front.

Vrod, you are speaking for max tire width under the W212s fenders. I feel this guy maybe asking for stance fitment. You can definitely fit wider wheels. 20x10 +35 and 265/30s fits up front according to another member (Clears strut side but I dunno about rubbing anywhere. Not mentioned. Car also pretty dumped) I will link thread to pics. Also believe you can go wider out back if willing to stretch your tires and/or installing adjustable camber arms.

I was thinking of fitment as I gave specs on offsets. My rears on 10-1/2’s have about 1 mm clearance to inside liner and just clear from rubbing on outside on hard bumps. The tire shoulders are square to the rims not sloped in either direction. I have yet to see any w212 with a bigger rim/tire setup than my 305’s. There just isn’t room.

In the front, as mentioned, I have 265’s. Again square shoulder and flush stance with fenders like the rears.

I suppose you could go with a wider rim on these size tires with a triangular look, but what would be the advantage there? 🤷‍♂️

What am I missing in your post?

Yes, i am going for stance here. I was on 255/30 tires on a 20x10.5 wheel on my Allroad. I had to go with this much stretch in order to get as low as I wanted without rubbing.

I currently have some Rotiform SRG wheels (which I will be posting for sale any day now), not sure on the offset because they came with the car. Im assuming they are 20x9.5 front and 10.5 rears - I'll be getting answers next week when i go into the mechanic.

The rears are 295/25 tires which isnt enough stretch for me, and I know what 255 looks like since that was my last size.

The fronts are 255/30 (is that normal to have different profiles on these cars) which isnt enough stretch for me as well.

So I am thinking about going right in the middle for the rears, at 275.

What would be the same amount of stretch on a 9.5 width wheel?

Wheels i will be posting, less than 500 miles on them, wrapped in PS 4S.

Hey, Vrod.
Our wheel/tire specs are nearly identical. As a matter of fact, I believe we commented on a thread you started before you got your BC Forged and based on that I decided against going w/ a 265/35 up front (Used to run a 275/35/19). Anywho... the only thing you are "missing" is considering that some people choose wheel/tire parameters for looks more so than for function. As OP has just confirmed, he is going for stance. I am sure you have seen pictures or maybe even sample in real life of cars that are dumped, have wheels that appear way too wide and more negative camber that the laws of physics should allow. Operating under those principles would allow the end user to run wheels that simply would not fit in the traditional sense of "fitting under the wheel well". The "advantage" of such non-conventional parameters is simply "aesthetics". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Yes. They come from factory like that. 255/35/19 F and 285/30/19 R.
Those Rotiforms are nice. I mean, the pic on the website looks great. I am sure they go for a pretty penny. I don't think I have ever seen a wheel company that offers more options to choose from. A true CUSTOM wheel. Have you pictures of the car w/ the wheels on?

There are a lot of members running 20x9.5 and 10.5 and a few running on 20x10 and 10.5 to achieve max concave up front depending on the wheel design. And some that want to run 305/25/20 tires in the rear will need to run 20x10.5 50et. So that will give you an idea in working your offsets down and tires.

its a work in progress, it was a lil too pimped out for me, wheels gotta go, removed the blacked out badges, replacing with OEM chrome (except leaving off the E63 and AMG on rear), removed dark tint and replaced with lighter, the WHALE TAIL of a spoiler is removed. Already ordered a new grille, and a front lip from Suvneer. Need to re coat the calipers, leaning towards yellow. Lots of cosmetic things, it already has a tune from Dme, downpipes and an Alpha Intake. I did find out that it already has KW H.A.S coils up front so i should be able to dial it in once I figure out wheels

I get you. Not everyone is into shiny wheels and/or wheels w/ this many spokes. I am sure that even w/ current set up, the wagen would look more proper if it was lower. The wheel gap is def. not complementing the shoes. The high offset required for these cars leaves us w/ few choices for prefabbed monoblock wheels. It's hard to find a wheel that's wide and has high offset that's not made in 5x130.
Out of curiosity, how wide are you looking to go w/ your next set of wheels? These cars do not have camber adjustment from the factory; you'd have to go aftermarket.

i guess the most common of 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears, but really want that aggressive concave look. Here is a photo of what my car looked like (I had the grey fender trim though, my iPhone pics dont show how aggressive the stance was LOL)

.. however I really am digging this guys setup below, even though hes on Air, I think I could get pretty low and static, Right? Or do the KW HAS coils not go that low up front, and same with the links on the rear bags go that low? Im shooting for the static stance I had on the Allroad above..

clearly I would need to be higher, I know hes aired out, but would love to have that super flush look. Now the allroad could handel it, it was super wide and clear in that fender.. now sure how these wagons are. The allroads look so wide, Ill miss that car.

additionally, these BC forged wheels are at the top of my list. Just not sure how 20's will look, thats why the questions of tire size and offset going with 20 on this wheel, I know his current setup..

19x10.5 et 27 and 25 (not sure which is front/rear). and tires are 225/35

I am on KW HAS. My fronts are pretty much as low as they go... maybe 2-3 threads left. The rears can go lower but my 305s at ET49 won't allow any lower. Will take out the 3mm spacers next summer and mess w/ it to see if I can go lower in the rear

Your Audi wagon's stance was on point. I mean, way stanced out for me, but I can appreciate the fitment.
And I don't think you can pull off the look you are after going static. Boy, you are gonna have to do some magic to squeeze a 10.5 +25 in the back of these cars
Do a build thread. Would love to see the end result!
Have fun w/ the build!

It's not tint. It's anti UV film. Came w/ the car. Plus, it only looks that way cuz I manipulated the brightness in the picture and car happens to be parked in front of that white fence. In real life you can't even tell.

yessir! I was missing the stance thing. Not my thing. Not critical of it at all. Each their own. I am just all about going as fast as possible with a close 2nd being aesthetics, as evidenced by my recent *****en wrap.

I did indeed miss the stance point. My bad. Lol

Lowered on KW HAS.
F20x10.0 +35 255/35/20
R20x10.5 +47 295/30/20 (might be better for the reason below to go with +50)

Slight rub at high speed/bumps nothing major. However the car will rub alot if the car is in sport or sport plus suspension. I never drive the car in sport+ suspension anyways rides like crap.

Previous setup was on 295/25 and 265/30 with zero rubbing. However broke two rims due to lack of tire sidewall. This setup been much better.
