W212 - OBD Port Not Working - Drive Mode Selector Not Working *FIX*

Hello everyone,

Recently I came across a small issue where the OBD port had no power along with dead drive mode selector and the 3 buttons below it. The issue was a blown fuse which goes in to the slot numbered 73 in the fuse box. The location of this fuse box is in the trunk right next to the first aid kit compartment (passenger side), its just a cutout in the liner no labels or a handle. It is a 5amp fuse and can be easily found at any autoparts store. This problem will not throw a error code, just sets everything to comfort by default.

Was trying to test a new obd scanner, plugged it in and the fuse blew. After replacing the fuse it hasn't happened again.

Good info. My mode selector and buttons randomly stopped working once, but power cycling the car restored them to operating.
