Not that this would cover me for long but I find it very surprising that a 2012 built in 2012 has coverage (12 years) and a 2013 built in 2012 (ten years) does not. Some super bad math there. I have a 12-19-12 in service date. I also find it a bit silly to even list something like that, its like "hey we are offering a warranty thats not able to be used if your car didn't already break". I doubt there are many 13's that are produced much after march 10th. So why even list it? The cycle for new model years was August back then for the most cars. Hoping to see this updated to actually makes sense for all model years of the 157 as my car is in the mid sixties for mileage, though covered with Fidelity for a few more years, but thats not the point.

It's an extension of the warranty on these engines, and what I was told it's part of the orig. MB extended warranty.
Yes the work must be performed at MB dealership.

you are correct, yes. There is also a section about reimbursement if you're cylinder head as been replaced under customer pay. Read through that if that applies to anybody and you have a chance you get something back.

Had my car in today for A5 and they looked at the warranty extension and said the tune won't affect me and there is otherwise nothing on my engine to do unless I have CEL's or performance issues

So I have a 2014 E63S AMG w/ 58k miles and the check engine light came on about a month ago, diaged by mercedes dealer and verified it was burned exhaust valves. I got the notification in the mail saying my vehicle is covered by this warranty extension, but the dealer says it's not showing up in their systems so they can't fix it under warranty. I've tried calling corporate but they've just kept redirecting me back to the dealer. Dealer says is an MBUSA issue, and I can't get anyone who knows how to solve this issue. Wondering if it takes some time for the extension to show up in the database and if anyone else has had this issue? Or if anyone has a better number or email to call for support with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

They took my $220 and all they did is check the ecu for error codes.
The car has a exhaust misfire that doesn't show up as a error. It's noticeable and most likely due to carbon buildup so there's nothing they can do, including carbon cleanup which is a service that they don't offer. It's disappointing .
I just replaced the plugs and injectors and coils yesterday and they were registered in the ecu by Peter from BenzNinja and still have misfire.
Any suggestions anyone ? apparently MB won't do anything until exhaust valves fail. So it's upon me to clean them up to r/o actual valve problem.
Google found this for me, https://www.carbontekusa.com/benefits/ what do you guys think ?

Ooof just got my letter in the mail today. Doesn't leave you with the best of feelings . 96k 15 63 here . Messaged my sa quickly ( an e63 owner) said he hasn't seen any e63s come in yet with this issue .
I haven't heard of it a ton here in the 212 section, or maybe i've been missing it . Hoping this is a small % of these ? Doesn't mention anything of a production range etc. to narrow it down either.

Does the letter apply to only the first owner of the car cause I haven't received one yet and I'm the third owner. Car has been fine so hopefully it doesn't need any work done.
