2012 M157 63 AMG problem, P2187 lean code bank1 at idle
I speak english, russian and georgian, some of the texts in video are in russian and I can translate if needed
with full engine rebuilt, changed so many details to fix this problem:
Tried 3 pairs of all the injectors
Tried 3 pairs of high pressure fuel pumps
Changed fuel pump - passenger side under back seat
Changed several pairs of O2 sensors, also swapped right to left
Changed ECU
Performed smoke test on the engine - no leak
Changed intake manifold
Changes spark plugs and Ignition coils (babina)
Changed exhaust manifold gaskets, they were leaking but - nothing changed
Trying to fix this problem for already 7 months, please help.
some additional symptoms: sometimes it takes about 10 seconds cranking and then starts the engine, sometimes it starts in a second,
on cold engine misfires are so bad and engine is shaking, (engine mounts are new)
when cold, when I try to put in D and start driving, car starts shaking and rev jumps up and down, (changed transmission clutch but no difference)
It sounds like you have tried a lot of things to fix the issue, but the lean condition at idle on bank 1 persists. Based on the information provided, there are a few more things that you could consider checking or testing:
- Check for vacuum leaks: Even though you performed a smoke test and found no leaks, it's still possible that there could be a small leak that was missed. You can try spraying carburetor cleaner or brake cleaner around the intake manifold and vacuum hoses while the engine is running. If there is a leak, the engine idle will change as the cleaner is drawn in.
- Check the fuel pressure regulator: A faulty fuel pressure regulator can cause a lean condition at idle. You can test the regulator by disconnecting the vacuum line while the engine is running. If fuel comes out of the vacuum line, the regulator is faulty and needs to be replaced.
- Check the mass airflow sensor (MAF): A dirty or faulty MAF can also cause a lean condition. You can try cleaning the MAF with MAF cleaner, or try swapping it with a known good one to see if the problem goes away.
- Check the crankshaft position sensor: A faulty crankshaft position sensor can cause hard starting and misfires, especially when the engine is cold.
- Check for exhaust leaks: Even though you changed the exhaust manifold gaskets, there could still be a leak in the exhaust system that is causing the lean condition.
- Check the fuel quality: Poor quality fuel or water in the fuel can also cause a lean condition. You can try using a fuel additive to clean the fuel system and see if the problem improves.

I did not see the CPS and Magnets or harness mentioned by the op. Oil in harness can create lots of issues.
I would assume this issue has been checked for?
Also, when you mention that it is rebuilt, how in depth do you mean, only the items mentioned or inside the engine as well such as heads or timing, valves, etc?
Are you using mercedes Star to diagnose?
and are you using a stock intake and filters for diagnosis?

the current diagnostic tool is not a star its just normal obd2 which connects by phone, but also performed checks many times on star and no much other info (I mean what technitians tell me, since I am not a mechanic) hope I had a star
could diagnose better.I changed intake manifold with also new map sensor, but nothing changed.
I am using K&N performance filters, cleaned them and nothing changed, also swapped sides and nothing changed.
- Check the fuel pressure regulator: A faulty fuel pressure regulator can cause a lean condition at idle. You can test the regulator by disconnecting the vacuum line while the engine is running. If fuel comes out of the vacuum line, the regulator is faulty and needs to be replaced.
also which vacuum line to disconnect and check?

what was the cause of the original bent rods? injector stick? Do you think the ce light contributed to that fail?
can I test somehow cam magnets without taking them out?
will try normal filters.
just swapped map/iat sensors in 2 filters boxes (but didn't check the car yet.
After I try sth ecu probably needs some reset, can I do it with disconnecting battery? I tried to disconnect ecu but it keeps all the codes and values, no matter how long I wait.
