I have a set of HRE's as well as Vossen (forged) in black stock sizes that I might part with.
send me a PM with your email and I will forward you the pictures.

I’m running Vorsteiner V-FF 103’s with no issues. Flow forged and run about $2k.

4 true forged rims with 4 new tires for $2000 will be less likely unless you're buying used.

Example (select construction->"forged" in filter):

Check out HRE Flowform, a bit of a hybrid approach. Strong without breaking the bank.
Have had FF01s for a season and after cracking / bending 3 OEM rims over the last few years, they are still perfect. (knocking on wood so hard my knuckle hurts.....)

You may get lucky on aliexpress or something like that, but for $2k, it's going to be tough to get quality wheels.

$4,500 can get you a nice set of BCForged or similar. I've had those wheels on my cars in the past with great success, including driving in pothole filled Northeastern US.

Yes they are flow forged. I’ve read on other forums they don’t hold up well (bend easily, some finish issues). Shame because they have some really nice designs.
Vossen hybrid wheels seem to be a good option and they usually have a Black Friday sale so you can save some money.

Forged wheels are more likely to bend. The issue with cast wheels is more so cracking. Forged wheels aren't necessarily more durable than cast.

I've only heard what Kenney was saying - forged is lighter and stronger. Less likely to bend. Not saying you're wrong, but do you have any links? Appreciate it. Would love not to have to spend tons on wheels...

The primary advantages of forged wheels over cast come down to manufacturing and design. By mass forged wheels are stronger. This means that you can use less material, making wheels lighter, to achieve a given benchmark of structural durability than cast wheels. While it is frequently the case, being forged doesn't mean they are stronger than cast wheels as that still comes down to the wheel design. There are a bunch of examples of this such as SSR Comp Cs, which were VERY notorious for bending, and VS Forged wheels, which have fairly low load ratings. The other big advantage is customization. A company can produce any wheel design to any specs they want machining them out of billet aluminum rather than having to make a boatload of different casts (which is $$$) to produce a bunch of different designs.

As far as bending vs cracking: Forging creates a stronger, tighter grain structure and less porosity. It takes more force to create a catastrophic failure such as a crack, so the metal is more likely to deform and bend where a porous, less dense crystalline structure of cast wheels will cause larger separation between bonds from an impact and thus crack before forged wheels would.
