Oil pump solenoids

Chemical limited lubrication with dismal viscosity is not what ECU need to seal rings. Bosch will need to revamp timings computation for drafty cyl.

old stock : SN
new stock : SP
SP formula is targeting turbo GDI with less calcium to prevent dirty engine LSPI.
When given a choice prefer SP.

The API SP(ecial)/S(u)P(erior) formula.
Prefer 5w-40 API-SP over SN in a PAO grade.
whatever it is called (clean/xcess/power).
The key is to not use effective viscosity to redline your turbo while your rings are far from sealed.
Just keep up Rpm above 2200 to keep up spraying not burning to make cleaning/sealing progress.

> NO QUICK CLEANERS...
-- A while ago we talked about CLEANERS, flushes...
Cleaning engine surfaces removes protection.

-- You don't want to stress high-output without surface protection.
-- It may be safer to go slow cleaning route...
Hence using only semi-effective viscosity for now and no harsh cleaners.
It's possible... I don't know how safe given redline habits.

ohh.. it seems you will be 2 ish specs behind
(i can't believe that you can't find it anywhere online that is avail too...)
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
i still did not tested SP and SQ is out hahahahaha

There will still be tough engine oil produced for our niche application.
Is this new Castrol trully PAO based or
a premium group-III synthetic ?

wrap sheet
"3x stronger than leading full synthetic"
Castrol Edge newest SQ !!
Flash point 220C: near Amsoil 225C.
Tag line: "STRONGER FOR LONGER" what's not to like.

I was using Molygen before but found pennzoil is much cheaper and is of good quality/cleaner from what I hear due to natural gas.
Why did you switch from 5w50 again?

5w-40 oils can get greatly oxidized with age and heat.
(full synthetic vs. PAO)
amsoil /motul /...
m1 /pennzoil /...
I noticed that true PAO synthetic oils are never cheap.
