How to check the oil level

Can not find my manual and don't see it up in the stickies nor can find any Info on YT. It's a 2014 E63s and don't see any dipstick either.
Tons of Info on oil change and resetting the service light but nothing W212 specific
Thanks

I thought I found the dipstick on the driver side towards the firewall in Blue color but the manual says on the passenger side, may be not model specific.
So can anyone please post a picture of the dipstick location and or the cluster way of checking the oil?
Whats the proper way of checking the oil, car warmed up, running or what?
Thanks

There is only one dipstick and nothing smells like motor oil, except motor oil. Pretty sure these transmissions dont have a dipstick from the top. Filling them is done through a one-way rubber valve in the trans pan with pressure.

Pull it - it's probably what you are looking for.

Do you check the oil level with motor running or with warm temp? In Porsche's you need to do it engine running?

if it's a cold engine - the oil dipstick level for me is low or dry; after I let it run about two minutes and re check it's at the appropriate level

If it is the first pull after driving (say right after turning of engine or been sitting), it being dry could be due to the airtight seal, it is a common characteristic of MB engines and their dipsticks, just do another pull and you will see oil even if it is cold. That said, vehicles with dry sump also requires a different way of measuring.

Just checked the oil after getting it to a normal temp and waiting few minutes, perfect level between the two marks with car driven 3700 miles.

Always scares the crap out of someone doing it for the first time. Every one of my Mercedes has done this.

True but if they had been driving with no oil, their engine would had stopped running way before they get to check the oil.

But, you can still have oil in the engine without it being on the dipstick. Next time you change your oil, put in 5 quarts instead of 6 ½. You have 5 quarts in, but nothing showing on the dipstick. You could probably drive like that without the engine seizing, but I don't recommend it. Also, we are conditioned to see oil on the dipstick and do not always react rationally when we momentarily think our engine has been damaged.
