There is more to come but I wanted to scope the cylinders that sit right on top of the turbos and likely receive the most heat to check for scoring on my 74,000 mile maintained benz.
The 360* view on these 2 cylinders look just like the pics for each cylinder. The amount of scoring seen is circumferential, no more, no less.
those are near ideal IMO. they will never look brand new, minor wear will result in essentially color changes.
This is what your trying to avoid:
FF to 00:56 ish
were you getting misfires? If so did you also do a leak down test of each affected cylinder?
No Peter, I'm merely checking the health of my motor to determine whether to keep the car and continue to maintain it with impeccable maintenance, which can be expensive or move on to something else.

I was really "excited" to see the cylinder walls looking quite smooth and the pistons sitting in the bore with no "lop-sided" cant to them that would generate unwanted cylinder wall scoring. I'm going to scope them all but 3,4 and 7,8 are a bear to get the spark plug ignition coil connectors off and I don't want to break any until I have new ones in hand ready to go in.
Thanks for the link from the forum Peter, good read! and thanks for the vid kenneyd! I was somewhat fearful of what I'd find in cyl 1 and 5 after reading threads here and watching Taso's vids on cyl scoring.
I use Amsoil 5w-40 European oil
Since I use Amsoil I was wondering if I should still use the Ceratec additive also or will that potentially change the Amsoil protective package for the worse?????

Looks fine to me for 70k. Don't see any vertical scratches from bent rods. Tasos even mentioned this that once they start to bend a little, it eventually starts to rub on that side and leads to complete cyclinder scoring.

No, even though some people will say yes to Cera Tec. I tried it, didn't notice any difference, and drained it after a couple of YouTube videos discouraging ANY oil additives. However, fuel additives are recommended.
