So this guy finally answered the question, when the car is accelerating it can do 5050 torque split between the front and the rear to give an excellent launch and acceleration, and once it's cruising it's going only rear wheel drive. And you don't have to do anything in terms of switching on the dashboard to make this happen. So this car really is the best of both worlds, it has the all-wheel-drive for the launch and switches into rear Drive for roll races

At at least up to 120mph it pretty much is as quick as having full RWD, just after that (rarely ever go that high) it falls flat on its face.

Yeah, it sounds like the manual-mode, race-drive-program, ESP-deactivated, shift-paddle maneuver is just to drift. I think most of us (I know I did) assumed that drift-mode was the only way to get 100% RWD. Interesting review... hopefully we will get some more reviews that talk about the 4MATIC+ specifics.

will be interesting to see if the 5.5TT can make enough extra torque over this new motor from a roll start to overcome its drivetrain disadvantage with 33/67 tq split. I have a feeling it won't to be honest but should be interesting to see.

The AutoExpress Video also states that in extreme condition, the new 4matic+ can go up to front 100: rear 0. Not really sure if it is necessary for the 4matic+ to be that extreme. The ATTESA on R35 is 2:98 from standing start up to 50:50. Hopefully the 4matic+ should be able to also do left and right torque split for the rears just like the ATTESA. Heck, the current Renault-Nissan-Diamler alliance means they are sharing some technology, right?!
Anyway, I would like to see some official press release from MB on the 4matic+ system to get some definitive answers.

old street racer general rule of thumb is 100lbs = -1/10th sec in 1/4 mile and +10hp also = -1/10th sec..... so if this new car has +26hp more and -300lbs less than current W212 then theoretically it should be about 1/2 sec quicker in 1/4 than current e63... assuming TCU intervention/torque limitations didnt get worse lol
