I'm still lowering my car, but bummed I can't bring my car into this dealership (the closest one to me) for an alignment.

Could raise it back to stock height and disconnect the module...

But anytime the car gets lowered the suspension geometry/travel is impacted. The lower you go, the more the ride quality is impacted.
The cool thing with ELM's is that you can adjust it until you find your sweet spot and it's about as cheap as links or similar. The wiring harnesses of the old modules were ridiculous...

Never seen a dealer flag a lowered car unless it's slammed. If worried, a performance shop will likely do a better job on the alignment anyway.

Yeah, that is just what the AMG tech told me (that the warranty for the suspension components would be voided). Regarding bringing it to an independent shop, that is a great idea! I was just thinking about bringing it to another dealer.

I was speaking with the AMG tech today since I'm bringing my car in tomorrow to have my tires changed over to my new set of wheels. Anyway, I asked him about an alignment tomorrow if I lower the car using a lowering module. He mentioned that he may or may not be able to bring the suspension into proper alignment due to the limited adjustments they can make. He also mentioned several times that while he understands why enthusiasts want to lower their car, this will void the warranty for the suspension components, and that I should wait for the warranty to run out.
I'm still lowering my car, but bummed I can't bring my car into this dealership (the closest one to me) for an alignment.

I go to Firestone and can get a alignment every month ( I believe it’s $299 lifetime alignment ) when I have time. If road force alignment is needed, they can do that too for an extra charge of course. Dealers charge like $199 for a one time alignment and keep in mind, dealers aren’t alignment experts like Firestone.

Question for anyone who has the ebay or the rentech... I would like to know if it's possible to have the car lowered only when parked. I'd like to have the car stock height for driving (houston roads, trust me), but lowered when parked, and I'd like it to be automatically done. Is this possible with either one?

Just for the looks. How easy it to lower the car using the module? Just a few seconds? Renntech tells me thir module cannot do what I want so probably will just get the ebay one since neither can do what I want.

Oh ok. It takes about a minute or so but I'm thinking this is really not convenient to do it every time before parking and leaving. You can check a video on eBay seller has it there.

Giving some thought to lowering and putting on spacers.
@@jdhertz11 - 15 mm drop front and 20 mm drop rear sounds pretty good to me. How would you compare ride quality with this degree of lowering via module in comfort VS no lowering (no module) and suspension in sport+ (which to my understanding also lowers car by 15 mm)?

I know most people who uses the eBay lowering module has had some success, but I’m not one of them. First module didn’t work and the second one threw all kinds of warnings on the dash. Dealer said a code was stored that was through the OBD port that messed up the car. Car went into limp mode, check engine light.... The car is all stock, just the lowering module. I’m done with this module, not worth it to ME.

I went the Benzworks route with oem sensor adjustment and have zero issues.
This is my car with spacers at sport+ ride height, zero rubbing on rough roads.
Once it's set there is no need for any other adjustments, all oem height functions raise/lower with the push of a button..

Hi. I plan on going to Benzworks to have the OEM sensors adjusted as well. So how does it work exactly, do you need to be in sports+ mode for the car to be lowered ? Can you still retain the right height adjustment where you can raise the car?
Did you get any cell or service issues?
Thank you.

Let me update you, I bought the Ebay module after I had to have an air spring replaced but to have it done under warrantee I needed to return the car to stock ride height.
This was a really pain in the *** with the benzworks sensor adjustment.
The Ebay setup is clean and easy to return back to stock ride height for dealer service.
Zero issues..full warrantee..

Ohhh I can't wait to get my e63! I'm thinking I should take the lowering module to Germany when I pick it up and do it straight away...
