Dyno results on 2018 E63S with EuroCharged tune

I had the opportunity to put my EuroCharged-tuned E63S on a Mustang dyno earlier today. The results were very close to EuroCharged's posted numbers with 735 ft Ibs of torque to the wheels and 621 hp. Note that this is on WA 92 octane pump gas. While the numbers are great and they closely mirror my RS7 Performance, most surprising to me was the actual speed of the wheels when we hit the redline in 6th --> 174.4mph... HOLY *****, Batman! Sadly, I do not have the stock numbers for comparison.

Nice numbers. Do you plan on running it at the track? I'm curious how the performance measures up to Renntech and Weisstech.

I do. The weather here sucks and even on a well-prep'd track we're seeing Audis hop and skip their way to a 2+ second 60ft and wiggling thereafter until they finally hook so I doubt I'll do any better but soon... I hope.

I spoke with Jerry from EuroCharged and he let me know that they saw no power gains with the downpipes so the only value they offer to me is increased volume... I'm happy with my exhaust as-is.

... so, spending like $2000 US + labor to install for nothing gained. Why would Eurocharged even make this in the first place then ? They should have stopped making this after testing this.

Possibly for the sound aspect alone.

As far as I can see, Eurocharged are not doing anything underhanded or making claims around power increases that aren't there--they were quite upfront about it with me. It might also be necessary for them to tweak the current tune to accommodate the presumably higher flow downpipes and their plate is likely full iterating on the V1 tune for stock hardware.

According to my experience, it feels completely different when the car is changed catless DP. So every car I have, I change DP first.

There is power to be picked up by installing down pipes on a W213.
There are multiple shops in EU and the Gulf states that have installed down pipes and picked up some good power.

With the greatest respect, I'm going to take the word of the vendor of both the downpipes and the tune--what possible reason would they have to dissuade us. And I think it's unlikely they made a mistake but you never know I suppose...

Yes, they are right. For your stage 1 tune, there is no power gain from Downpipe. However, if you want your car go next level, you need DP.

Probably the extra displacement of 1.5 liters helps the 212 more with a tune. You can only get so much power out of a smaller 4.0 engine, it obviously is more maxed from the factory than the 212 ever was.

Thats kind of what im waiting to see, how these small engines with high hp will hold up, BMW's especially M5 and M3 were puking engines and timing chain guides at like 5k miles. F10/F80

not sure about weight differences, im talking dyno #s, you posted 621rwhp/ 735TQ with a tune and apparently downpipes dont give a power advantage. My 2012 E63 with only a tune and DP achieved 615rwhp/775rwtq, so yet again I am right about saying there's not much of a differences in the two cars tuned.

And thats a w212 wagon. alot heavier than the sedan.

He is right that tuned for tuned the 5.5 i is just about as fast, and the extra displacement does indeed allow for extra power to be more reliable in the long run as its less stressful on the motor.

Wow. Now I'm convinced--the drag race was a fluke or unfair and you guys know better than AMG. Got it.

You do realize that the wagon was tuned and the W213 was stock... yet the wagon still lost. Bad driver; yup, must've been that.
