Standing Burnout
Ive see some videos where people are trying to do a burnout from a dead stop but they cant make it happen. Tires dont start to spin until about 20 mph. I have also see a video where it almost appears the guy has a line lock which i dont believe these cars have. I think it was a russian guy driving the car. My questions is has anyone experienced the same issue of not being able to do a burnout from a dead stop?

Drift mode for me would only be used at the drag strip so I could heat up the rears. If they took that away from drift mode that would be quite the disappointment!

I can't imagine it would not smoke up the rear tires from a standing start in drift mode with all the nannies turned off which I believe is what drift mode does. I know my 2012 with just RWD would light up the rears from a start with traction control off and that was less power than this car.

For fun I tried this when I got home this afternoon. Luckily I have enough room outside my garage to do a little bit of testing.
Took some video which I may upload later, but I was also unable to get drift mode to burnout from a stop.
At anything over about 5 to 7 mph they start to spin pretty easily, though I didn't do any big smokey burnouts, instead I let up as soon as the tires started to spin.

Tried all different methods I have been adviced. Also did turn car to “dyno mode” , still nothing happens.
Such a mistery how this rus blogger E63 made standstill burnout

I had my car on the dyno a month or so ago, and had a bunch of faults when I left. Everything went away after jumping on the freeway for a few minutes however.
Made 561hp/578tq on a dynojet in case anyone is wondering

Care to explain what "dyno mode" is and how to activate it?

If you google w213 service menu, you will find a guide how to get to menu with it... you shouldn’t really use it for road.
P.s. still trying to figure out how to burnout.. some people say you have to bypass certain gear ?!?!
561 whp, is your car 2017 production year?

it’s a mode that made specifically for dyno measurement. It switches off all secure systems such as abs, 4matic, differential.

I was happy with the number, probably would have made a bit more but they only had a couple fans on the front end for the radiator, and not much going to the intercoolers.
I'll also check to see if it can do a brake stand burnout as well

I'm not sure, I'll check the tag when I get home (assuming its indicated somewhere on the car?)

But open your drivers door and read the 4 digits on the jam sticker denoted like this (xx/xx) and you will see. My car is 02/17 and it puts up similar numbers on a mustang load bearing dyno.

Depends on what you mean by a burnout? Doesn't seem like anyone has been able to get the tires spinning from a standing start.
However, from anything over a few miles an hour the tires will light up just fine. Just for fun today I popped it in drift mode and rolled on the juice as I was turning slightly in a parking lot. Was moving maybe 5 MPH. The tires immediately spun and the car went sideways remarkably fast.
