First I would like to thank you for all your help so far. I have a good news and worse news and would like to ask for your advice/thoughts since you work at the dealership yourself.
I got updates from my dealer, the car will arrive at my port next week and I'm expecting late October delivery.
Now this is what breaks my heart, I'm sorry if its a long post please bear with me.
Not sure if my dealer is trying to milk my $ or there is a mistake. Was told that since there will be no major difference 2022 vs 2023 model, I should expect to see around few hundreds or around $1000 increase (around 1-3%) for a car with same specs (CLA250). But now turns out to be $8500 increase which is 17-18% increase for a 2023 model with same specs. It shocks me and I can't believe, especially for a non AMG entry level Mercedes.
The car itself only increases by $600, but the options are crazy. For a reference $600 to $2750 for night package ($2150 option increase, almost 5x) Technology package $1600 to $4600 ($3000 increase, almost 3x), wheels from $500 to $1040 ($540 increase, 2x). I understand we are currently having chip shortage inflation etc, but for this case, please tell me I'm not supposed to expect this much increase?
I am wondering if the Sales Associate have access to modify the MSRP price? Considering the pricing for CLA250 on Mercedes Canada website is not available yet. I think they're just putting whatever number they want as a placeholder. I also wonder when can I expect to see the price on the website for 2023 Mercedes?
I really feel helpless, please share me your thoughts or advice... Is the price increase reasonable?

Multiple models did in fact have much larger MSRP increases given the rate of inflation. That has been a major factor in the delayed release of 2023 MSRPs, from my understanding.
At least for US pricing, those figures listed (granted I do not off the top of my head know the conversion rate) are no where near the option cost down here. The singular most expensive option is the AMG Line at $2050 USD and the most expensive wheel option here is $900 USD.
I can't imagine that in Canada things could be too terribly different, but a sales associate here has zero ability to modify or change the MSRP on a vehicle. A Monroney label listing base price, all options and their price, as well as final MSRP must be provided by the manufacturer and plainly displayed in all new vehicles here in the US.

But even then, it is still 7% (+$4367 total or +$3565 MSRP) more than MY22 with same options. Now I'm trying to at least meet in the middle, I tried to negotiate politely with the SA via email (I'm supposedly paying MSRP now), asking $2800 discount off $66406 on the quote but he is not replying my email. But the car is still reserved under my name and I have a deposit there
1. I understand considering supply demand inflation etc, not sure if thats the same case for other car brand too? Like we are expecting 7% increase over a year? To me 7% seems to be on the higher end side, but what are your thoughts as a mercedes sales?
2. I heard the car market is starting to go less crazy now, is it the case? I'm trying to ask for discount maybe $2800 below MSRP, considering the delays + he was saying "the increase shouldnt be that bad, maybe 1%-3% increase at max" before I ordered. I am using "unhaggle" and suggesting the "Avg price, -$2800" which supposed to be what others are paying. (dealer cost: $49366 avg price: $51963 Msrp: $54815). What are the chances of the SA giving me $2800 discount off MSRP for Mercedes at current situation? Is it slim to none?

You wouldn't get $2,800 off of MSRP at our dealership. The markup on a CLA250 is extremely small. I looked at the two we have incoming and the difference between invoice and MSRP is only about $1,800. If you don't take the car I'm sure someone else will the day it arrives so the dealership isn't concerned.
