Selenite Grey Magno Paint + Wrap?

Put in my order for a MY2019 E63S and chose the Selenite Gray Magno before I read some threads on here regarding the issues with having to paint the entire panel anytime there's some damage to the car's paint. I was wondering, has anyone gotten the matte color and then used some sort of clear, protective wrap on it that doesn't really alter the color too much but protects the paint?
Thank you.

If you visit Xpel's website on the kits section you will see that their pre-cut kits for a full wrap E63 will cost you $6,4k USD and you will have to add 10% for the Stealth version. If you think on ordering the film by lots like a 60"x20ft you will need to pay *at least* $2,4k for it. And in both you still have to pay for the installation.

Remember that even a PPF with a ceramic coat is not sufficient do protect against a more hard hit to you car, so if you have a matte paint you will have to spend heavily on an entire panel paint job if this happens to you.
1. Don't take to it through an automatic car wash due to the type of shampoos and wax they use.
2. At least PPF the front end, engine cover, and mirrors
3. Only use washing products that are specifically created for matte paints. I assume this means manual washing and wiping down is the best method to keep the paint's integrity?
I live in SLC, Utah. We gets lots of snow, so this prolly won't be driven too much in the Winter. Does anyone have any advice for what to look for when searching for a shop to apply the PPF? I have never done this before, so am not sure if there are any specifics one should require when choosing the place to do it?

If I understood your other point, you suggest ordering gloss paint and then covering with matte PPF. You could do that and I’ve seen a good example; but it’s WAY more expensive to do this so it looks right. It’s twice the price, so any savings from not ordering matte factory paint will be lost. And it never will be true matte. You’ll always see the original paint when you open doors and look at edges.
I was trying to reason and justify that spending $6k on PPF is a smart investment. I just got the "wtf is wrong with you look".

I split the difference and just got the forward facing surfaces on the Range covered. On a separate note, we're replacing the Range Rover with a 2020 Defender early next year and you can get a full body satin wrap from the factory for $3k, which is a steal. I hope more car manufacturers start offering it from the factory.

Are you sure it’s full body for $3k? I would bet it’s front end only. The salesperson is almost certainly wrong.

Can probably offer that price because of economy of scale and the fact that the film itself costs almost nothing, the labor is the thing. So it's much faster and more economical for a factory to cut templates for a single model of car and have techs applying them to the same model repeatedly than the guy at the detail shop that has to cut a different template for every car that rolls in and has to be good enough to wrap anything and everything that rolls through.

I am just too paranoid about chips, parking lots, etc. as it's my daily driver.
I was quoted 5500.00 full install with stage 2 detail. Seems to be in line with the reputable installers.
